Life & Work with Tracie & Cheryl Parsa-Brown of Dallas/Ft. Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracie & Cheryl Parsa-Brown.

Hi Tracie & Cheryl, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you—we’re honored to be here. We’re Tracie & Cheryl, an interracial, age gap,
married couple, influencers, entrepreneurs, and the heart behind the global community
known as TCFAM (Tracie & Cheryl Family). Our story is one of true friendship, timing, and
faith.
We were Facebook friends for over 10 years—cheering each other on, sharing life updates,
commenting on posts—but we had never met in person. Then came the Texas freeze of
2021. Unbenkwnost to us, I lived just blocks away from Cheryl and I lost power, water, and
electricity. Even though we had never met face-to-face, Cheryl offered to cook for me and
provide a relief from the frigid temperature! That simple gesture—offering care without
condition—turned into something much more. What had been a decade-long virtual
friendship became a love story that neither of us saw coming, but both of us were ready
for.
For a long time, we lived privately, just enjoying the life we were building together. But after
a video of us went viral, we were faced with a choice: retreat or rise. We chose to share our
truth—to show people what real love, healing, and partnership look like. And that’s how
TCFAM, our beautiful, diverse, global family, was born.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Parts of it have been incredibly smooth—because we’re truly compatible. We’re best
friends who never have to go home. Our values and morals are aligned, which has created
a deep sense of trust, ease, and mutual respect. That foundation matters in every
relationship.
But we’ve also faced real challenges. I experienced the heartbreaking loss of her brother
Jeff in a workplace accident, which shifted how I see time, purpose, and presence. Cheryl

went through a life-threatening thyroid storm that forced us both to slow down and re-
center our lives. Add to that the experience of being a same-sex, interracial, age-gap

couple in a world that isn’t always kind to LGBTQ+ folks—especially when you’re living out
loud online.
We’ve learned to lean into authenticity. To use our platform with care and responsibility.
We know visibility is powerful, and we don’t take that lightly. Every post, every livestream,
every interview is rooted in realness, not performance. We’ve learned that meaningful
conversations can spark healing and hope, and that being fully ourselves is the most
radical thing we can do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re multi-hyphenate women who lead with love and intention. I am a leadership
consultant, speaker, and former education executive who empowers leaders and
organizations to grow with clarity and equity. Cheryl is the CEO and Design Director of Art
of Living Modern, a firm specializing in refined reconstructions, modern design, and
elevated living.
Together, we host Wife Talk, a weekly livestream where thousands tune in for deep, real
conversations about relationships, growth, healing, and joy. We officiate weddings, work
with purpose-driven brands, and lead philanthropic efforts like TCFAM Gives Back and
TCFAM Angels.
And—we’re currently writing our first book together, Wife Talk Time: The Extraordinary
Journey of Tracie & Cheryl. It’s a memoir-meets-manifesto that chronicles our individual
and shared journeys, and everything we’ve learned about love, healing, identity, aging, and
purpose. It’s not just our story—it’s a reflection of anyone who’s ever dared to begin again.
We don’t just create content—we build community, spark change, and amplify love.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

Happiness, for us, lives in the in-between. We don’t wait for the big milestones to
celebrate—we celebrate the quiet mornings, the late-night laughs, the drives with our
pups, the meals we make together, and the stillness of simply being in each other’s
presence.
After facing grief, illness, and the complexities of public life, we’ve stopped chasing the
next big thing and started focusing on what’s in front of us. We’re happiest when we’re
grounded in each other, connected to our purpose, and aligned with our values.
We’re also deeply fulfilled by giving back. Whether it’s through our global TCFAM Gives
Back day of service, supporting teachers across the country, or our TCFAM Angels holiday
gift drive—we believe in using our platform to pay it forward.
Spending intentional time with family and friends, uplifting our community, and knowing
we’re making a difference—that’s where our joy is rooted. After everything we’ve
experienced—loss, healing, reinvention—our happiness now comes from presence,
purpose, and choosing love every day. Happiness, for us, is being able to love out loud and
live in truth—and hopefully, give others the courage to do the same.
