Meet Noura Kone of La Table Gourmande in Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noura Kone.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started La Table Gourmande just by baking and cooking for friends. I always had a nice plate presentation and my friends always told me that my plates were looking nice and my dishes were delicious. That’s why I decided to created an Instagram account. Not only to share my passion and my work with the world but also, allow people to order and taste my diverse and exotic meals.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think it has not been a smooth road because I have a hard time reaching people and growing a bigger Instagram community. However, I believe that it only takes time. I just need to be patient and keep working.

La Table Gourmande – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
La Table Gourmande mainly shares normally difficult recipes, in a simple form so that almost anybody can try it at home. The recipes are in English and French. We are also a bakery. We deliver cakes on orders. We are proud to be able to run on small ressources. The fact that we share diverse recipes from every continent is what makes us apart from others. We do not have one set area. Our motto is: the more diverse, the better.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Patience and perseverance are the key qualities to success for any business in my opinion.
