Rising Stars: Meet Joyce Ayers of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joyce Ayers.

Hi Joyce, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Say Something to Inspire: My Journey of Faith, Purpose & Quiet Impact
(How a Few Words Sparked a Mission Built on Encouragement)

It began with a simple but powerful idea: What if a few encouraging words could shift someone’s day—or even their path? That question stirred something deep in me. With just a cellphone, a willing spirit, and a God-given desire to uplift, I hit record. And from that sincere beginning, the ‘Say Something to Inspire’ journey was born.

More than anything, I longed to share the love of God in a real and relatable way—to help others see how the truth of His Word speaks into everyday life, bringing peace in chaos, strength in weakness, and light in darkness. This journey has never been about performance, but purpose—and it continues to unfold, step by step, with faith leading the way. My guiding principle remains simple: “I believe, therefore I speak.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The Winding Road…

It hasn’t always been smooth. My path has had its share of steep climbs, surprise turns, and crossroads I never quite saw coming, or knew I needed to be ready for. In the beginning, I wore many hats—juggling work, relationships, attending meetings, and the rhythm of creating content. It was exciting, but it also brought seasons of burnout, where I felt stretched too thin and in need of direction.

But I discovered a vital truth: boundaries aren’t barriers—they’re anchors. Creating space for rest and renewal wasn’t selfish—it was essential. It allowed me to stay grounded in the love and purpose that this message was built upon.

Those first videos, created by me, weren’t polished! As someone stepping into the digital world later in life, I had to be willing to learn and grow. By God’s grace, someone already in our circle—Hal Johnson, Jr., of AARI Productions LLC, a gifted millennial creative—stepped into an unexpected new role. He became not just my executive producer, but also a trusted business partner to my husband, Rodney and me. With his support, I was challenged and gently guided into new ways of sharing timeless truths. Together, we proved that when seasoned wisdom unites with a fresh, aligned perspective, purpose doesn’t shrink—it expands.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Professional Chapter & A New Season

My career began in telecommunications, where I led teams through the rapid technological shifts that helped shape today’s digital landscape. Later, I transitioned into the mortgage industry, gaining deeper insight into strategy and customer care. It was there I learned to balance data with empathy—making decisions that touched real lives.

Now, in this semi-retired season, I’ve felt a quiet pull toward something familiar: hospitality. It’s a natural extension of my calling, to cultivate spaces where people feel welcomed, seen, and truly valued. In this chapter, I get to blend strategy with service, pairing insight with warmth.

I’m proud of my journey—not just for its scope, but for the heart behind each step. Whether as a communicator, consultant, or encourager, I’ve always believed in the power of connection.

Purpose Over Spotlight

What sets me apart isn’t just experience, it’s the spirit I bring. My uniqueness is a gift from God, and I lead with intention. I’m here to contribute meaningfully, spark hope, nurture growth, and serve with faithfulness. For me, it’s about showing up with purpose and allowing that purpose to make a difference.

I value the moments that invite me to simply show up with care. Whether it’s through listening, encouraging, or offering a quiet act of service, I’ve learned that presence often speaks louder than words. My aim is to live with consistency, guided by faith, and to remind others of the value they already carry.

How do you think about luck?
Divine Timing

I’ve never been one to see life through the lens of luck—good or bad. For me, it’s always been about trust: believing that every challenge, opportunity, and twist in the road holds purpose. When Hal Jr. first began, I honestly thought he’d be too busy to notice something so simple. But God had other plans. He’s led us, step by step, to this moment—featured in this series! These aren’t lucky breaks. They’re blessings. Because when your journey is anchored in God, even the unexpected becomes part of His perfect plan.
