Hi Zak, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For me, golf has always been more than just a sport. It’s about being unique and always striving to be the best version of yourself. Every golfer brings something unique to the game: their swing, their rhythm, their wardrobe, their attitude. But every time I stepped onto the course, I noticed something that didn’t quite fit — my clubs looked just like everyone else’s.
That’s when the idea for Bespoke Birdies first hit me. I asked myself: Why can’t golf equipment reflect the individuality of the person swinging it? We personalize almost everything else — our cars, our shoes, our phones — so why not our golf clubs? Especially the shafts, which are front and center every time we tee it up.
“Bespoke” means tailored to you—just like your golf game, our wraps and gear are crafted for a perfect fit and personalized style.
“Birdies” represents the iconic golf achievement of shooting one stroke under par, symbolizing excellence and success.
Together, Bespoke Birdies blends customization and performance, giving you the confidence to elevate your game and stand out on the course. It’s about more than just golf; it’s about playing with style, precision, and confidence
I started sketching and experimenting, driven by a vision of golf shaft wraps that combined high-end design with top-tier performance. I didn’t just want them to look good — they had to hold up under pressure, stand up to the elements, and enhance the playing experience, not distract from it.
After months of trial and error (and let me tell you, there were plenty of errors), I created what would become the first Bespoke Birdies wrap. It fit like a glove, performed beautifully, and made a serious visual impact. That was the moment I knew I had something special.
Here’s my story :
Starting Bespoke Birdies wasn’t easy. There were long nights, tough decisions, and more than a few setbacks. But I never felt like I was doing it alone. My friends “The Birdie Boyz” were the first to believe in the product — testing early versions on their clubs and giving honest feedback. My family lifted me up every time I doubted myself. They reminded me why I started and helped me stay focused on the bigger picture.
Shorty after was the “Texas Golf Trade Show” , where Bespoke Birdies was an absolute HIT. No one had seen a product like this before and you could see the wheels turning in the customer’s head of how they would want to customize their golf clubs. They knew they could finally be different, enhance their club appearance, and show off to their golf friends. That support meant everything. It gave me the confidence to launch the brand even further, make partnerships and stand behind what we were offering — not just a cool-looking wrap, but a product that delivers both style and substance.
The next month after the Trade show, My golf crew and I of 24 friends from Plano East, “Stripers and Slicers” (AKA the S&S Dallas Golf Crew). Stripers = Good Golfers and Slicers = Not so good golfers, went to Utah and played at Black Desert Resort where, coincidentally, we ran into the most famous golfers on the planet who are ALSO changing the golf game in their own way, Youtube Golfers. We met Grant Horvat, Bob Does Sports Team, and many more.
Here I am, new Golf Start up company, sitting across the dinner table from these mega stars in the Youtube world. Talk about a divine intervention!
Moral of the story is, if you had a dream. CHASE IT. Do everything you possibly can because it WILL work and God will put the right people in front of you so you can change more lives than you ever thought.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest hurdles I faced came right before the Dallas Golf Trade Show — what was supposed to be a major launch opportunity for Bespoke Birdies. I had just placed my largest materials order to date, gearing up for what I hoped would be a breakthrough moment. But when the shipment arrived, everything was wrong — the cuts, the finish, the specs — none of it was usable. I had 48 hours to decide: walk away from the show or fight to fix it. It was one of those moments where everything hangs in the balance. If I had given up then, I wouldn’t have made the incredible connections at the Texas Golf Trade Show, gone on some of the most inspiring trips, or met the YouTube golfers who helped elevate the brand. Most importantly, all the early love and support I received from friends and family would have meant nothing. Thankfully, my manufacturer came through. We worked around the clock to correct the order, and the new materials showed up on my doorstep the night before the show. I barely slept, but I made it. That experience reminded me why I started Bespoke Birdies and why I’d never let a setback define the journey.

We’re working on expanding our design collections to offer even more variety, from limited edition drops to collaborations with golf influencers, creatives, and brands that share our passion for individuality on the course.
We’re also exploring retail partnerships and pop-up experiences, so golfers can see and feel our wraps in person. One of our biggest goals is to launch a fully customizable online builder, allowing customers to design their own wraps from scratch — giving every golfer the chance to create something that’s 100% theirs.
Looking ahead, we’re planning to show up at more trade shows, golf events, and tournaments across the country, connecting directly with players and continuing to grow the Bespoke Birdies community. The excitement, support, and creativity we’ve seen so far has been incredible — and this is just the beginning.
