Exploring Life & Business with Beatrice Recoussine of MyCoachBea

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Recoussine.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My goal was to work with my psychology degree, but expat life changed my path. I continued personal development training while working in Human Resources. After receiving a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) certification in France, I obtained my first certification as a professional coach in 2008 in Morocco ( first expatriation). I was passionate about my new path as a coach but it was time for another move.

In 2011, when I arrived in Dallas, my English was not sufficient to continue coaching. I was hired as the executive director of Alliance Française de Dallas to promote French culture.

I had a life I could only have dreamed of having, a happy family with my husband, my 2 daughters and my son.

In 2017, my life totally turned upside down when my son, who was 9 years old at the time, was diagnosed with brain cancer.

I resigned from the job that I loved to take care of my son. I learned the hard way that it’s normal to feel afraid, angry, sad and overwhelmed – sometimes all in one day.

Today, my son is a survivor and I couldn’t be more grateful!

In 2023, I began working as a Health and Life Coach because my purpose today is to help people to feel better and happier in their life. I am using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Reiki and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) during my sessions. With my clients, we work together to create new habits and turn their life in a new direction.

The cancer road can be a long, hard journey to walk alone. No matter where you are, you deserve to feel better about your life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It wasn’t a smooth road, it was the most challenging time in my life. I was afraid to lose my boy, he was only 9 years old.
I was in a dark place and one day, I have decided to overcome this trauma.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As a trauma coach, I believe that everyone has the power to achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

My coaching sessions are designed to provide the client with the support and tools they need to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.

During a coaching session, they’ll have the opportunity to explore their thoughts, emotions and beliefs in a safe and non-judgmental space.

I can help them:

– When their life has turned in unexpected ways/ traumas ( illness, separation…):

Life is full of challenges and obstacles that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and fearful.

Whether it’s a traumatic event from our past or a current situation that is causing us distress, it’s important to
remember that we have the power to overcome these fears and live a happier, more fulfilling life. Because of my own personal journey of overcoming life traumas, I understand the challenges and fears that can hold us back.

– When it’s hard to adjust /Expatriation:

Although their expat life is amazing, it can be hard to adjust and sometimes they can feel displaced.

– When they are not satisfied with their body / losing weight

– When they are under stress /slowing down and improving energy

I am bilingual and can coach in French and in English.

I can help my clients to feel better and happier / Je peux aider mes clients à se sentir mieux dans leur vie.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Believe in you and never give up!
