Check Out Jessie Beebe’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessie Beebe.

Hi Jessie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I graduated Texas Wesleyan with an Education degree with a Theatre specialization and Theatre minor. When I graduated I had the decision to either go into teaching theatre, going to NY to audition for the “Soap Operas” (I had an agent invite me when I got to the finals of the Irene Ryan competition my senior year at Wesleyan, or take the job as Children’s Pastor at and upstart church called The Met Church. i felt led to take the ministry job. For seven years we grew the church from zero to two thousand and the Kid’s ministry was bumpin’! We had just recorded and produced a C.D. called Pump up the Praise with Jessie (You can get it on spotify and apple music still 🙂 Suddenly I started having weird symptoms that led to me having to have cranial surgery called Arnold Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery. During my recovery I knew God was wanting me to slow down and speak to me. I felt him leading me to start a non – profit that teaches about Jesus but also does it through awesome performances! While being children’s pastor I worked with some members of the church and we wrote 2 awesome musicals – “Peace” and “The Mystery of the Nativity”

I stayed a member of the Met but felt I was to step down as Children’s Pastor when suddenly a friend from Nashville called me and asked about my Pump up the Praise C.d. He invited me to get a group of performers come to Nashville and put together a show that includes songs from our C.D as well as performing as “VeggieTales Rockin’ Tour Live” I got to be the host of the show and talk to a 10 ft Larry and all the other veggies. It was a 30 day US tour and a blast

After the tour I felt led to start the Non-profit called KidStand. We performed for years and churches, huge festivals like Celebrate Freedom sponsored by KLTy, and traveled to Africa, Nepal, Haiti, and Honduras. We opened a performing arts studio in 2019 teaching singing, dancing, acting, and Musical Theatre. This summer we moved into a bigger space where we have our own theatre where we can have classe and shows most weekends of the year!

Within this time I went on my own healing journey and wrote a book called “Absolute Resolve” Heal your Past. Enjoy Your Present. Go get your Future. I now speak on Inner Healing in churches or wherever I’m invited!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
NO! Well having brain surgery was rough but God spoke to me through that time and out of obedience my reach grew like crazy.

MONEY – always and issue but just trust God and He always comes through. Early on out of obedience I served at my church in a Middle School small group (not my favorite) But years later I was looking for a grant for our organization now called “Stand Performing Arts Ministry” and the person in charge was a mom of one of the students in that group and she remembered her daughter writing a paper about me being an inspiration. We still get amazing grants from that foundation! God works in mysterious ways!

BEING A MOM! It’s always a difficult balance. I have two beautiful and amazing adult daughters now. And God only gave us enough business as I could handle at the different stages of their growth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m so proud of Stand Performing Arts Ministry! www.standministries.org. We started in 2005 and have slowly grown into who we are today which is a Theatre/Studio that teaches hundreds of kids a week, put on about 18 different shows a year, and we do it all in the name of Jesus because that’s my heart for Stand. I think that’s definitely what makes us different. I’m also proud of the 4 original productions we have done. I have written the scripts and 2 of my staff, Carl Andersen and Miki Hooper composed the music. They are fun muscles that have biblical message. “No Place Like Home”, “Forward To the Past”, “Inside Scoop”, and this year we are adding music to the play I wrote called “Imagine.” The original musicals really set us apart as well!

I’m also so proud of the book I wrote – Absolute Resolve: Heal your past. Enjoy your present. Go get your future. Thanks anyone can get on Amazon. This book came out out uncovering dissociated memories from when I was a child, learning to look at those and heal by the power of the Holy Spirit.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Keller/Fort Worth! I was born here and grew up in Keller! My parents even met at Keller High School. It’s grown like crazy since I was a kid. But I love the atmosphere and the people I love Fort Worth! We go to Joe T Garcias at least once a month! My son in law just did a gig (singer/songwriter) in the stock yards and it was a blast. I love the people of Fort worth. They are so down to earth and real!

What I like least? Is that you have to drive everywhere. It would be so cool to walk or bike places. But everything is too far apart!
