We’re looking forward to introducing you to Vd. Meenakshi Gupta. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Meenakshi, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is a blend of my professional practice and personal wellness. I usually start my mornings early with a short meditation or pranayama to center myself. After that, I spend time cooking for my family because food, in Ayurveda, is the true essence of health, and preparing meals is both nurturing and grounding for me.
Once my workday begins, I focus on client consultations at AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center, where I guide people with authentic diet, lifestyle, and Ayurvedic therapies. I also dedicate part of my day to creating educational content for Ciamor® Skincare, our clean, green, Ayurveda-based skincare brand. Through both platforms, I aim to make Ayurveda practical, accessible, and sustainable.
Afternoons are often devoted to research, writing, or administrative work with professional associations. Evenings are reserved for family time, which helps me maintain balance. While my days are full, I stay aligned with the Ayurvedic principle of rhythm, making sure I nourish not only my clients but also myself and my loved ones.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Thank you for having me. I’m Meenakshi Gupta, founder of AyurRoots® Ayurveda Wellness Center in Plano, Texas, and co-founder of Ciamor® Skincare. My journey started with a deep-rooted passion for Ayurveda, inspired by my grandmother’s wisdom and strengthened through years of study and practice.
At AyurRoots®, I work with individuals to bring Ayurveda into their everyday lives through authentic diet, lifestyle, and wellness guidance. It’s not just about ancient practices; it’s about helping people find balance and health in today’s fast-paced world.
With Ciamor®, our trademarked skincare brand, we wanted to rethink beauty by going back to Ayurveda’s clean, green, and natural approach. All our products are powder-based, preservative-free, and eco-conscious, designed with the philosophy that if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t put it on your skin.
What makes both of my ventures unique is that they come from a place of authenticity and sustainability. Whether I’m working with clients at AyurRoots® or creating formulations for Ciamor®, my mission is the same: to honor Ayurveda’s timeless wisdom while making it meaningful and practical for modern life.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I think the part of me that I’ve learned to release is the constant need to strive for perfection. For a long time, I carried the pressure of always having to do more, be more, and achieve more, whether in my practice, my family life, or in building AyurRoots® and Ciamor®. Over time,
Ayurveda has taught me that true balance doesn’t come from perfection but from rhythm and harmony with nature.
As Tony Robbins says, ‘Perfection is the lowest standard you can set for yourself, because it’s impossible to achieve.’ That wisdom really resonates with me.
Letting go of that perfectionism has allowed me to embrace authenticity instead to show up as I am, to create from a place of love, and to trust the process. I believe that release has opened space for more creativity, compassion, and meaningful connections with the people I serve.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I think the turning point for me was when I realized that pain, whether physical, emotional, or even the struggle of starting over in a new country, wasn’t something to be hidden; it was something to be understood. For years, like many of us, I carried my challenges quietly. But through my journey with Ayurveda, I began to see that pain is not just an obstacle; it’s also a teacher.
Instead of hiding it, I started using it as fuel to guide others, to create AyurRoots® as a space for healing, and to build Ciamor®, a brand that redefines skincare through authenticity and wellness. My own struggles gave me empathy and depth, and that’s the energy I bring into my work today.
Pain, when acknowledged and embraced, becomes power — it shapes resilience, compassion, and the drive to make a difference.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is very much the real me. What you see in my work with AyurRoots® or Ciamor® is not a persona I’ve created — it’s a reflection of who I am at the core. I live by the same Ayurvedic principles I share with others, whether it’s through my daily routines, the way I cook for my family, or how I formulate clean, green skincare.
Of course, in public, I show up with more structure and intention, but it’s never a mask. If anything, my public work has made me even more authentic in my private life, because I believe people can feel when something isn’t genuine. For me, alignment between who I am personally and who I am professionally is non-negotiable — that’s where real trust and connection come from.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand to the core and what I find many people overlook is that true wellness is not just about fixing symptoms, it’s about rhythm, balance, and alignment with nature. Ayurveda has taught me that every choice we make, the food we eat, the sleep we get, the thoughts we cultivate, shapes not only our physical health but also our emotional and spiritual well-being.
In today’s world, people often look for quick fixes, but what I know is that healing is a journey. This philosophy is at the heart of everything I do, whether guiding clients at AyurRoots® or creating powder-based, clean, and sustainable formulations for Ciamor® Skincare. It’s about honoring the connection between body, mind, and nature, something simple, yet profound, that most of us forget in the rush of daily life.
