We recently had the chance to connect with David Hill and have shared our conversation below.
David , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Building my relationship with God and my marriage. This is my foundation and very core values for me. When business, success, accomplishments and all other things fade. These two will stand and forever be important.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is David Hill, I am 33 years old. Im married to my beautiful wife, Deborah. Im originally from Miami, Florida but just relocated to Dallas, TX last year. So a little about my brand Hillglobal, LLC it is a Multi-Functional brand. Everything I do and the purpose stems from Music. What makes my brand unique is that very thing that its not one dimensional. I have pillars that I stand on. Music, Motivation and Mentorship. In my brand as im serving through music whether thats a drum lesson, or a public performance or studio session. My hearts desire and brands purpose is to Inspire, Motivate, Equip and leave a lasting impression on every person and every place Im giving the opportunity to share my talents.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling power is being a pre teen and my dad gave me the opportunity to play a couple songs at one of his gigs in the Miami Heat arena. It was such a dope and inspiring experience. To be able to have that opportunity changed my life
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes. Life has seemed like challenge after challenge and it can be and was discouraging not knowing what do, where to go, how things were going to work out. Not being able to show up for myself and then steady trying to help others and bearing their burdens and wanting the world to be a better place and all of these weights on me. It was a tough time. Honestly, beginning at 2021 its seem like a rollercoaster and their was definitely times I wanted to give up but im thankful for my Faith, Friends and Family. Those 3 F`s have helped, encouraged and sustained me.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
To love people, help people, push and encourage people. I will never give up and cant give up on people. As difficult as we are and can be. Love, Service and consistency in helping people is my life mission. No matter how hard it seems and impossible it looks to make the world better.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What false labels are you still carrying?
That I messed up and the place I am in life is my fault and I should be further along with an amount of money, influence and more things checked off of my goals
