We’re looking forward to introducing you to Teira Hill. Check out our conversation below.
Teira, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Creating! Whether it’s storytelling through modeling, writing, or helping others bring their vision to life that makes me lose all track of time. When I’m fully locked in, I feel free, powerful, and completely myself. It’s in those moments of creative flow that I reconnect with who I am at my core: bold, intuitive, and purpose driven.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Teira J ! Model, actress, and brand ambassador. I’ve worked with top beauty brands like Morphe, NYX, and Good Molecules, and I recently starred as the lead in the film CLEO. I’m also building a platform that connects creatives with real opportunities in fashion, film, and beyond. Everything I do is rooted in confidence, creativity, and making sure the right people get seen.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that downplayed my worth to make others comfortable. I’ve realized that shrinking myself doesn’t serve my purpose or my future. It’s time to release the version of me that second guessed her power, and fully step into the one who knows exactly who she is and what she brings to every room.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me that nobody’s coming to save you! You have to be your own rescue, your own motivation, and your own backbone. It showed me how to stand on my own, how to build from the ground up with nothing but faith and grit. Success feels good, but it never taught me the resilience, patience, or self-trust that struggle did. Pain sharpened me in ways ease never could.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is real, but it’s curated. It’s the strongest parts of me the version that keeps going, even when I’m tired. But behind that is a woman who’s had to pick herself up more times than she can count, who still battles self-doubt, and who’s learning that it’s okay to not have it all together. I share what I can, but some of the deepest parts of me are still healing and I protect those.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I’ve been dimming the light that knows she’s meant to lead, to inspire, to take up space without apology. For a long time, I toned myself down to avoid being “too much” too confident, too vocal, too seen. But that light has always been there, waiting for me to stop playing small. And now? I’m done hiding it.
