Tay, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m learning to put myself out there more and embrace the idea of being seen. For a long time, I let fear hold me back, but I realize that I’m a star meant to shine. I refuse to dim my light any longer; it’s time to embrace my true self and share my unique gifts with the world. I’m ready to step into the spotlight and let my brilliance shine!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Tay Harris, a serial entrepreneur specializing in Makeup, Graphic Design, and Web Design. With seven years of experience in business, I’m focused on getting my name out there and making a mark in my fields. What makes my brand truly special is that I am my brand; there’s only one me. I prioritize building personal, long-lasting relationships with my customers, ensuring that every interaction reflects my commitment to quality and authenticity. I believe in creating a unique experience that resonates with each individual, and I’m excited to continue growing and evolving in my journey!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Honestly, I felt that strangers often saw my light before I could see it in myself. Most of the love I received came from people I had never met, yet they supported me fiercely. They would sell out every drop of my products and consistently show up for me. I truly appreciate those individuals who recognized the greatness within me when I couldn’t even see it myself. Their belief in me has been a driving force, and I’m grateful for their unwavering support on my journey.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t be afraid to be right and stand firm in what you know is true. Never doubt yourself, because God has blessed you with the gift of intuition and knowing. You have a clear vision of where you want to go, so don’t hesitate. You are exactly who you believe you are, and you have the strength to achieve your dreams.

My closest friends would say that authenticity and integrity truly matter to me. I deeply value people who live in their truth and are unapologetically themselves. I believe that genuine connections are built on honesty and vulnerability, and I admire those who embrace their individuality without fear of judgment. For me, it’s essential to foster an environment where we can express ourselves freely and support each other in our journeys. I cherish relationships that are rooted in trust and mutual respect, where we can uplift one another and celebrate our unique paths. Ultimately, it’s the authenticity in ourselves and others that creates lasting bonds and meaningful experiences.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am definitely living in my purpose. While I’m still on my journey and there are challenges ahead, I know that the ending won’t change. I am determined to accomplish everything I desire in this life. Each step I take brings me closer to my dreams, and I refuse to let doubt or fear hold me back. I believe that fulfilling my true calling not only brings me joy but also inspires others to pursue their passions. I’m committed to embracing the process, learning from every experience, and remaining focused on my goals. This journey is uniquely mine, and I’m excited to see where it leads!
