An Inspired Chat with Niki Guasto of Colleyville

We recently had the chance to connect with Niki Guasto and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Niki, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of building strength. Besides building a successful business (in as little as 3y) I have been through alot of trauma and sadness in my personal life. Really difficult things I’ve had to deal with. I have learned and built strength from it. No body really knows because I carry on strong with a smile and keep going. But these things shape you- !

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Niki, the founder of Luxe Lash Co., a luxury lash, brow, and beauty studio based in Texas. I’m a licensed beauty professional with over 21 years of experience and 8 years as a master lash artist previously from NY — I specialize in custom lash sets that enhance natural beauty with a glam twist.

Luxe Lash Co. isn’t just a salon — it’s a confidence-boosting experience. I built this brand to reflect high standards, artistry, and genuine connection. Whether you’re coming in for lashes, brows, or one of our other luxury services, the focus is always on creating an elevated experience that makes every client feel beautiful, cared for, and empowered.

Beyond the studio, I’m passionate about mentorship and helping other artists grow. I offer training, online coaching, and business mentorship because I believe success in beauty is about skill and strategy.

Right now, I’m expanding Luxe Lash Co. — working on enhancing our product line, merch, and even building out a studio collective for beauty pros who want to thrive in a creative, supportive space. It’s all about building beauty, community, and confidence — one lash set at a time.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband saw me clearly long before I saw myself. He believed in my vision, my talent, and my potential at times when I was still second-guessing it all. He’s been my biggest supporter — encouraging me to dream bigger, take risks, and never settle. Whether I was working long hours, facing setbacks, or growing into new roles, he reminded me who I was and what I was capable of. That kind of support is rare, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without him standing beside me and cheering me on.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would’ve told my younger self:

“Trust your vision — even if no one else sees it yet. Keep going, even when it feels slow. Your passion will take you places your fear never could.”

I spent a lot of time overthinking and playing it safe, but everything changed when I finally leaned into my purpose and stopped shrinking myself to fit in. I’d remind her that she’s stronger than she thinks, and the life she’s dreaming about is already waiting for her — she just has to keep showing up.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts by looking at impact and longevity. Fads are loud and fast — they create buzz, but they fade just as quickly. Foundation shifts, on the other hand, solve real problems, improve the client experience, or elevate the industry as a whole.

For example, a new lash mapping trend might be fun for a moment, but what lasts are the techniques that actually improve retention, safety, and artistry. I pay attention to what aligns with my brand values, what clients keep asking for over time, and what helps my business grow sustainably — not just what’s trending online.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I could — and I have. In fact, some of my biggest breakthroughs came in the quiet seasons when no one was clapping. I’ve learned that real growth happens when you show up for yourself, not for the applause. Praise is nice, but purpose is better. When you truly love what you do and believe in your mission, you keep giving it your best — even when no one’s watching — because you know it’s building something bigger than the moment.
