Hidden Gems: Meet Meagan Jiles of Meagan Jiles Realty Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Jiles.

Hi Meagan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I actually began my career in education, but over time I realized I was ready for a change. Real estate had always been in the back of my mind because I’ve loved everything about homes since I was a child. Some of my fondest memories are of my mom taking us to open houses on Saturdays just for fun. It not only gave us something to do, but it also opened my eyes early on to the possibilities of what “home” could mean.

That love for homes never really went away. I can remember sitting and watching HGTV one day and thinking to myself, “I can do that too.” It was the push I needed to finally take the leap into real estate.

What’s been most rewarding is how my background as an educator naturally carries over into my work. I love walking clients, especially first-time buyers, through the process step by step, almost like a teacher guiding them through something new. From explaining the details to holding their hand through each stage, I make sure they feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions.

For me, real estate has become the perfect blend of my passion for homes and my heart for educating others. It’s not just about buying or selling property, it’s about helping people see new possibilities, create memories, and feel at home.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. It’s honestly been a rollercoaster at times. Between market shifts, the pandemic, and even the political climate, there have been moments where I’ve had to really pause and figure out how to keep moving forward. The pandemic especially was tough, it changed the way people saw their homes overnight, and as an agent I had to quickly adjust to meet those new needs while still keeping clients safe and supported.

There were times when it felt overwhelming, but what’s kept me going is remembering why I started, my love for homes and my desire to help people through such a big life decision. Every challenge has pushed me to grow, to get creative, and to lean on my resilience. Looking back, I can honestly say those ups and downs have made me a better agent and a stronger person.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is to trust God’s direction and timing. Real estate, like life, doesn’t always move the way we want it to, and patience has been a big part of my growth. I’ve come to understand that every delay, every “no,” and every challenge is really preparing me for something greater ahead.

Another lesson that’s been central for me is embracing the idea of being a servant leader. My role isn’t just about transactions, it’s about serving people, guiding them with humility, and putting their needs first. When I focus on helping others and leading with integrity, everything else falls into place.

Those lessons from God about direction, patience, and servant leadership continue to ground me, both in business and in life. They remind me to keep my priorities aligned and to never lose sight of the bigger purpose behind what I do.
