Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Cassaro.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m Sabrina—a wife, homeschooling mom of two lively boys, and the heart behind a growing herbal skincare and postpartum wellness business.
If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be spending my days blending teas, handcrafting skincare, and guiding women through postpartum preparation, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. For nearly a decade, I worked as a flight attendant—a career I loved. I thrived on the energy of travel, the people I met, and the sense of purpose that came with caring for passengers in the air. But as much as I loved that chapter of my life, something inside me began to stir after the births of my boys.
Both of my birth experiences were deeply empowering. They opened my eyes to the importance of preparation—not just for labor and delivery, but for postpartum as well. I realized how often women are told to focus on the baby’s arrival, while their own healing and transformation are overlooked. That realization planted a seed in me: a calling to support women through this sacred transition.
At the same time, my long-standing love of natural remedies began to grow roots. For over 15 years, I had been crafting skincare for family and friends—simple, wholesome products made with herbs and ingredients I trusted. After my second son was born, my passion for herbalism deepened. Loose-leaf teas became my daily ritual, a way to nourish myself in the midst of busy motherhood. Herbs became more than ingredients; they became tools of healing, comfort, and empowerment.
In 2023, I made the bold decision to leave my flight attendant career and step fully into this new path. What started as a creative outlet is now a business that allows me to share my love of herbal skincare, teas, and postpartum education with others.
Of course, my days aren’t only filled with business. I’m also a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, weaving together the rhythms of family life with the work I love. It’s a balancing act, but one that brings me joy, purpose, and a sense of alignment I never knew was possible.
Today, my mission is simple: to create clean, intentional products and to help women prepare for postpartum in a way that honors not only the baby’s arrival but also the transformation of the mother—whether it’s her first or tenth child. Because postpartum is not just about recovery; it’s about rebirth.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest challenge has been the slow and steady pace of growth. As a one-woman show, I wear all the hats—product creation, marketing, packaging, shipping, customer service—while also being present for my kids and homeschooling them.
There are days when it feels like there simply aren’t enough hours. My boys sometimes join in by helping me pack or label products, which I love because they’re learning firsthand what it takes to run a business. Of course, that also means the process takes a little longer—but I don’t see that as a bad thing. It’s a reminder that this season of life is about balance, patience, and building something meaningful at a pace that honors both my family and my work.
A lot of my work happens late at night, after the kids are in bed. The hours are limited, and there’s always the trade-off between productivity and sleep. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. This pace has taught me resilience and creativity, and it’s also shown me that success doesn’t have to happen overnight—it can grow in small, intentional steps.
We’ve been impressed with Natural Birthkeeper, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is rooted in two passions: herbal products such as skincare, tinctures, teas and more along with postpartum education & care.
I handcraft organic, small-batch products using herbs sourced from small U.S. farms, along with tallow, ozonated oils, hydrosols, and teas. Everything I create is designed to be clean, intentional, and deeply nourishing for the skin and body.
What sets my brand apart is the combination of herbal skincare with education. I don’t just want women to have access to beautiful, wholesome products—I want them to feel empowered in their own healing, especially during the postpartum season. I specialize in supporting women as they prepare for postpartum, offering guidance, resources, and even meal planning to make that transition smoother and more supported.
I’m most proud that my brand reflects integrity at every level: from sourcing herbs sustainably, to crafting in small batches, to making sure every product that leaves my hands is something I’d use on my own family. It’s not about mass production; it’s about intention, care, and connection.
I want readers to know that my offerings go beyond skincare. I create organic loose-leaf teas, herbal remedies, and postpartum education resources, all designed to bring natural healing and comfort into the home. Whether someone is seeking a soothing tea blend, a clean moisturizer, or guidance on how to prepare for postpartum, my goal is the same: to provide support that feels personal, trustworthy, and truly nourishing.
How do you define success?
Success to me is living in alignment—creating with purpose, serving women well, and still being present with my family. It’s also found in the small moments, like when a mom tells me one of my teas became part of her healing ritual, or when someone feels more confident heading into postpartum because of something I shared. Those are the wins that mean the most.
