Ace ofBade on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Ace ofBade shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Ace, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day include eating breakfast that was prepared the night before, and working on content creation stuff, whether that be reacting to a video/song, editing videos, or doing some live streaming

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is AceofBade. I do a myriad of content creation, including reaction content and online live streaming of video games. My brand is under the AceofBade brand, where I have my main AceofBade material, like live streaming Video Games and challenge videos, and AceofBadeReacts, where I react to various songs and videos of bands.
Something that is interesting about that is I also bring in other streamer friends I have met over the years to react to songs and videos with me.
I have been doing content creation since June of 2020, a little after COVID restrictions started lifting. It is something I had been wanting to do but never got around to starting and COVID seemed to be the thing that got me interested in looking further into it. I started doing reaction content in 2023.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Looking back, I was not a confident person and was pretty introverted. I was also not happy with who I was overall. Certain interactions and instances made me realize I needed to change who I was and how I approached life in general. I really sat down and did some soul searching one day and over the course of a few months, I worked on myself and continued to work on myself over the next couple of years, tweaking things here and there, and I think my younger self would be proud of who I turned out to be.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been multiple times I almost gave up, and they varied from not knowing if I was good enough to wondering if I should even be around anymore. But I looked deep inside and had a conversation with myself and got through most of them, with one point including therapy to work through everything. Going to therapy was a real great thing for me, working through all my past incidents. The money I was spending was a huge motivator to work through everything.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would like to think the public version is the real me. My sense of humor, my thought process, what I believe in doesn’t change. I do my best to present the real me in front of people and online.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace when I am focused on what I am doing and out of my own head, whether that be at the gym or whatever I am currently working on. Whenever I am feeling like not doing anything, it stresses me out to not have that drive to do what I am wanting to do.
