Story & Lesson Highlights with Kylah Artz of Park Cities

We recently had the chance to connect with Kylah Artz and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kylah, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake up, and immediately make my bed. Call this the OCD side of myself.
I then take care of the dog and cat. Once that is done I do dishes, start a load of laundry and work on making myself breakfast. I then move on to a morning workout.
I shower and get ready for my day and then sit down to answer any missed texts, calls, emails, social media DM’s, etc.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’ve been a full-time Realtor for over 10 year so real estate isn’t just a job for me—it’s my career and my passion. This is not a part-time hustle; my clients know they can always count on me. If I don’t answer immediately, I return calls and texts quickly, because I believe communication and responsiveness are the foundation of great service.

What truly sets me apart is my approach to negotiation—I’m known for being a bulldog at the table, fiercely protecting my clients’ interests while finding solutions that get deals done. I specialize in investment properties and new construction, two areas of real estate that constantly inspire me because they offer so much opportunity for growth and creativity.

For me, real estate is exciting because it’s never one-size-fits-all. Every client, every property, and every deal has its own story, and I love being the person who helps bring that story to life. My goal is simple: to make the buying and selling process smooth, successful, and even enjoyable for my clients, while always going above and beyond to deliver results.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents. I would not have the strong independent work ethic that I have without them.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Trust yourself more. You don’t have to have it all figured out right now—every step you take, even the hard ones, is shaping you into exactly who you’re meant to be.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Social media and online presence is what you want it to be… 🙂

I am not going to show myself in my car, over heated, sick, not wanting to show this 11th home in a row because I am tired and want to go home…

I am not going to show myself irritated that my clients can be rude, impatient, and non-appreciative, and I am missing the only opportunity that I have had in 2 weeks to spend time with my husband….

I am not going to show myself almost crying on payday because it had been months of no paychecks due to a slow market, despite working 150% harder than I ever have in this industry…

So many things that I COULD show to the public, but I don’t. I choose not to share sadness or negativity and instead strive to focus on the positive side of what I do.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
My responsiveness. The fact that I respond to calls, texts, emails, needs….ASAP.
