An Inspired Chat with Markeisha Samuel of Greenville,TX.

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Markeisha Samuel. Check out our conversation below.

Markeisha, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first 90 minutes of the day consists of thanking God for waking me up and starting me on my way. Start my coffee and walk my fur baby out the back door to use the restroom. Water and care for my garden. Start meditation, read my daily word, and go over affirmations. Brush my teeth and wash my face. Now, it is time to get my day started by going over emails, pull up orders from the website and get those started, and pull all appointments from all my forums and put them under my calendar to keep track. That will be about the first 90 minutes of my day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi,
My name is Markeisha Samuel, and I am the proud owner of Boss Babe Wig Cleaners LLC. When I first started my business in 2020, I focused on cleaning units for my clients who had cancers and/or diseases that caused hair loss. I knew what it was like to suffer with hair loss due to having Lupus and wanted to cater to that demographic. Since, I founded my company I have been blessed to evolve into an all-around self-love self-care salon. Now, not only do I focus on my client’s unit cleanings but also the health of their scalp and hair by offering salon services, waxing services, and basic nail care services. I have a website that offer premium units, professional hair care products, and accessories while focusing on giving back to foundations related to cancers and hair loss in addition providing self-love self-care.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I had a rough life growing up where I started out on my own at age of 12yrs old. I had to learn a lot at a young age that most do not even imagine themselves going through. I met my ex-husband when I was 19yrs old and even though it started out rocky and abusive I can say I did not actually realize my worth at that point in my life. We were married at a young age, and I endured a lot of abuse. Please do not get it misconstrued I was a fighter but for some reason I could not see myself putting my hands on someone I loved even though that loved one did not feel that same. I know growing up on my own and not having the loved ones I really needed in my life there, when I needed them the most, may have played a part in my response of the physical abuse I endured. After years of abuse, I finally realized my worth and took the steps to leave that relationship. I felt so empowered when I left that relationship and started life afresh. I am huge advocate against domestic violence because people deserve better and should have an outlet and community who supports their well-being. One reason why my client’s well-being is my top priority.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When I started my business in 2020, I wanted to share my life’s story and why I founded Boss Babe Wig Cleaners LLC which included me sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. I started by recording stories that impacted my life and played a major part in the creation of my business. I tried to silence the pain, but silence grew louder than words and I needed an outlet. I shared those stories on social media to bring awareness and hopes of it helping others. I also started Boss Skool Awareness where I shine light on foundations affiliated in domestic violence, cancers, and diseases that cause hair loss because those topics impacted my life the most.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
Most salons just focus on hair, making money, and getting their clients out the chair as quickly as possible. I am not just a salon; my business has several niches. I focus on the salon atmosphere, but I want it to feel like back in the day when you went to a salon and talked to your stylist like a psychiatrist. Feel comfortable, relaxed, and feel the self-love and self-care so when you leave you feel like a million bucks (Boss Babe). I focus on the health of your scalp and hair by using all natural products that are created by me and in the process your hair is not rushed and done to perfection. I also focus on clients who have cancers and diseases that cause hair loss in order for those clients to feel comfortable in whatever style they choose while focusing on getting their hair to grow healthy. I also have a website that provides professional hair care products, accessories, and premium units. I have waxing services and working on starting nail services soon. Boss Babe Wig Cleaners LLC is not just a salon but a one stop shop for all your hair, skin, and nail service needs.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Boss Babe Wig Cleaners LLC is my peace. I enjoy caring for my clients giving and showing them self-love and self-care. I give my all to my business because I see myself retiring at a sooner age with my business plan that is in process. I do what I do not just for myself but especially caring for those who cannot care for themselves or just want self-love. I never really had support or received praise for what I do but I do not do what I do for praise. I do it for the passion.
