Kacie Kintz shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Kacie, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
Right now, I’m learning from my dad, who passed away just five months ago. His life was marked by generosity, faith, and an unwavering belief in people, and I find myself daily going back to the lessons he lived out. At Dream Center Dallas, we meet people in some of their hardest seasons—poverty, loss, addiction, and brokenness—and I often hear my dad’s voice reminding me to see the person before the problem, to serve with compassion, and to never give up on anyone. Even in his absence, he’s still shaping the way I lead and love people. His example is helping me carry out the mission of the Dream Center with both grit and grace.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Kacie Kintz, director of Dream Center Dallas. We exist to meet people right where they are—in moments of struggle, crisis, or need—and walk with them toward hope and lasting change. What makes us unique is that we don’t just offer programs; we offer relationships, consistency, and a community that believes in people even when they don’t believe in themselves. My own story is marked by both deep challenges and incredible miracles, which fuels my passion to make sure no one feels unseen or forgotten. Right now, we’re focused on expanding our reach in South Dallas through programs that meet practical needs like food and resources while also creating spaces for spiritual growth and transformation.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad, without a doubt. He modeled a work ethic that was rooted in integrity, humility, and perseverance. He taught me that hard work isn’t just about results—it’s about serving people well, keeping your word, and showing up with consistency even when no one else is watching. Those values have shaped the way I lead at Dream Center Dallas and continue to influence every part of my life.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self, “You don’t have to have it all figured out—God is faithful, and every setback will shape you into someone stronger and more compassionate. Trust the process, trust His timing, and give yourself grace along the way.”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what matters most to me is people—loving them well, fighting for the overlooked, and making sure no one feels forgotten. They’d probably add that my faith and family anchor everything I do, and that I pour my heart into creating spaces—whether at Dream Center Dallas or around my own table —where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to step into their purpose.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived a life that pointed them to Jesus—that I loved people deeply, served faithfully, and never lost sight of what really matters. I’d want the story to be that I made others feel seen and valued, that I wasn’t afraid to take risks for the sake of others, and that I always put my family first. More than anything, I’d hope my legacy is carried on through the lives I touched and the faith I lived out every day.
