Story & Lesson Highlights with Key Sharne of Dallas

We recently had the chance to connect with Key Sharne and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Key, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are completely silent. It’s my sacred time. I spend the first 30 just talking to God, praying, and setting the tone for my day. I truly believe everything I touch flows better when I put Him first. After that I ease into my routine. I make my bed, film skincare content, and get prepped for either the gym or Pilates. It’s a peaceful start but it sets me up to show up as her all day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Keyanna. I’m a beauty and lifestyle content creator based in Dallas. I create intentional content around self care, skincare, wellness, and what it looks like to truly step into your soft life era. I’m a mom and a business owner, and I’ve built a community online that feels like a sisterhood. My brand is rooted in faith and focused on showing other women, especially Black women, that we deserve ease, luxury, and softness in our everyday lives. Right now I’m working on expanding my content across platforms, locking in aligned brand partnerships, and creating resources to help other creators grow with intention.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My daughter. Becoming her mom changed everything for me. She made me look at myself differently. I show up for her the way I always needed someone to show up for me. She’s the reason I move with purpose, softness, and strength. Watching her grow has helped me heal parts of myself I didn’t even know needed healing. She’s my why. She’s made me better in every way

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience. It taught me how to sit with myself, how to hear God clearly, and how to find peace even when nothing made sense. It showed me what strength really looks like when no one’s clapping for you. Success feels good, but pain taught me how to pray harder, love deeper, and show up for myself when it was just me and God. That kind of growth doesn’t come with wins, it comes with stillness, surrender, and survival.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. Who I am on social media is exactly who I am in real life. Honestly I might be even better in person. What you see is what you get. I’m soft, real, funny, faith-filled, and always going to show up as myself no matter the room.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What pain do you resist facing directly?
The kind that comes from loving someone deeply and realizing it still wasn’t enough to make it last. Letting go of something that felt safe, real, and rooted is a different kind of pain. I think I resist facing the grief of what could’ve been. The part of me that still wonders if timing could shift or if it was ever meant to work at all. It’s hard when you finally let someone in after being guarded for so long, and it still doesn’t end the way you hoped. That’s a kind of heartbreak I’m still learning how to sit with
