Story & Lesson Highlights with Shania Brown

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Shania Brown. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Shania, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ince breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
After years of dimming my light to meet the expectations of others, I’m finally allowing myself the freedom to exist fully and unapologetically as me. No longer driven by the fear of disappointing those around me, I’ve come to understand that honoring my truth is not selfish it’s sacred.
This life is mine to live, and for the first time, that feels not only valid, but deeply enough.
As I lean into this season of radical authenticity, I find myself unlocking a new level of clarity, creativity, and vision. There are seeds being planted ideas, brands, movements that are still tender and sacred, not yet ready to be shared. But know this, they are born from a place of purpose, not performance.
This journey back to myself is not about arriving it’s about emerging. Slowly, powerfully, and in alignment with something greater than approval.
And that in itself, is everything.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
To new readers, and to those who’ve journeyed with me before welcome.
My name is Shania Brown. I’m a 19-year-old cosmetology student and an emerging entrepreneur, stepping boldly into my purpose.
As a Libra, I embody balance, beauty, and an innate appreciation for harmony. I’m deeply creative not just in what I do, but in who I am. My artistry is spiritual it doesn’t just come from me, it moves through me. Every idea, every detail I bring to life is an expression of something rooted and real.
What sets me apart isn’t just what I create it’s how I create. I see magic in the small things, the structure of a design, the flow of a color palette, the emotion a single texture can evoke. I move with intention. My work is carefully articulated, not just for aesthetic, but for impact.
Right now, I’m quietly building something special something born from this energy, from this vision. I’m not ready to share it just yet, but trust me… it’s coming. And when it does, I hope you feel the soul behind every piece of it.
Stay close this is just the beginning.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I have to admit, these questions stirred something deep within me: What part of me has served its purpose? And what part must now be released?

They landed in my spirit like a quiet echo of truth especially now, as I find myself in the midst of what some might call a spiritual awakening. For me, it feels more like a sacred unraveling… a shedding of who I thought I had to be.
This process what many refer to as an ego death isn’t about losing oneself, but rather remembering who you truly are beneath the layers. It’s confronting the parts of me shaped by fear, trauma, anxiety, and survival… and gently laying them to rest.
I’m learning that healing doesn’t always feel like light it can feel like loss. Letting go of the familiar, even when it no longer serves you, is a deeply emotional experience. There’s grief in growth. But also grace.
In this unfolding, I’m meeting the version of myself that’s always been there patiently waiting. The one aligned with purpose, led by intuition, and rooted in something far greater than fear.
Change is uncomfortable, sometimes even terrifying. Because the unknown asks us to trust without guarantees. But there’s beauty in that surrender. Because what if just what if you end up loving who you’re becoming?

And I think… I do.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of “ what if it actually works out “.. crazy right ?
We’re so conditioned to brace for disappointment, to prepare for the worst, that the idea of our dreams coming true feels foreign almost too good to be true. Success requires us to expand, to rise to a new level of responsibility, visibility, and vulnerability. It challenges the part of us that has found safety in struggle. When something actually works, we can no longer hide behind excuses, delays, or doubt. We have to show up fully. That’s scary. Because thriving demands transformation, and transformation asks us to let go of everything that once felt safe but small. So sometimes, we self-sabotage or hesitate not because we don’t believe it’s possible, but because deep down, we’re afraid we might finally become who we’ve always known we could be. And once that happens… there’s no going back. But I’ve grown quite contempt with this idea.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest misconceptions we’ve been sold? That aesthetics are everything.
We’ve entered an era where fashion, an art form once rooted in self expression and individuality, has become saturated with sameness. Trends move at lightning speed, and instead of inspiring creativity, they often lead to imitation. People aren’t dressing from the soul anymore they’re dressing for algorithms.
The irony is, in trying so hard to be seen, many have lost the very thing that once made them unique their voice. Fashion was never meant to be about fitting in it was meant to be about standing out not for attention, but for authenticity.
Aesthetics without substance are just decoration. Style becomes powerful when it reflects the truth of who you are, not just what’s trending. We need less replication and more originality. Less performance, more presence.
The real art of fashion? It’s not in how it looks, but in what it says.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
My hope is to remind people that they have the right and the power to live for themselves. To choose a path that reflects who they really are, not who the world told them to be. You don’t need permission to be authentic. You don’t need validation to follow your dreams. You are allowed to live fully, freely, and unapologetically.

There’s a quote I carry with me, one that’s simple but deeply true:
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” – Henry Ford.

Your reality begins with your belief. If you believe in your own possibility, there’s no limit to what you can create. It all starts with giving yourself the freedom to be.
