We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brittany McDonald. Check out our conversation below.
Brittany, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes! I graduated with my Bachelor’s in May of this year!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Brittany McDonald, founder of a natural wellness brand, Bella Bee Tea, that blends ancient herbal wisdom with modern-day self-care. What started as a personal journey to heal my body and reclaim my peace has evolved into a mission to help other women do the same. Through products like yoni steaming herbs, botanical skincare, and wellness teas, I empower women to reconnect with their bodies, their rhythm, and their worth.
What makes my brand special is that it’s rooted in real-life healing, not trends. I’m not just selling products; I’m building a lifestyle that honors rest, emotional balance, and full-body wellness. Everything I create is crafted with intention, using herbs and ingredients your grandmother might recognize, only now they come in pretty packaging and with affirmations on the label!
Right now, I’m working on expanding into holistic body care, fitness, and educational content that teaches women how to take their healing into their own hands. From coloring books that soothe the spirit to detox teas that support the womb, this brand is all about giving women tools to thrive naturally.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom always told me I had healing hands. Long before I fully understood what that meant, she saw the healer in me. As a teen, she supported my curiosity with natural skincare and herbs. She never once discouraged me from experimenting with homemade remedies or learning about plant medicine. She was deeply into it herself, always learning about different herbs from her own peers. I remember during flu season, she’d have us drinking aloe, knowing it was a secret weapon. That early exposure, combined with her belief in me, planted the seed that blossomed into the work I do today. Helping women heal naturally is in my roots, and it started with her.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
I recently changed my mind about how I present my brand to the world. Yoni wellness has always been front and center, but it was never the sole focus. My mission has always been about whole-body healing physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This rebrand is my way of making that clearer. I’m expanding into body care, fitness blends, and emotional healing tools to reflect the full spectrum of what I offer. Changing direction felt like a big decision, but it’s brought me closer to the original vision: creating a safe space for women to reconnect with every part of themselves, naturally.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, the public version of me is real, but it’s just one layer. What you see, my passion for herbs, healing, and uplifting women, is who I truly am. If you ask anybody who knows me personally, they’ll tell you I’ve always been giving, selfless, and caring, long before there was a brand or platform. The public me is the nurturer and motivator. The private me is the same woman, with more quiet moments, deeper reflection, and a heart that’s constantly pouring into others. I don’t perform for the spotlight. I show up with purpose, and that purpose is rooted in love.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, I think my customers would miss the care and intention I put into everything I create. I get emails all the time from people asking when the yoni wash or other favorites will be back in stock when they are out, and it reminds me that these products have become a part of their everyday self-care. They’d miss the trust, the consistency, and the feeling of being seen and supported through natural healing.
