Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Woods.
Hi Lindsey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to people and the joy that comes from connecting with them. After graduating from Tarleton State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, I realized my true passion wasn’t just in products—it was in people. I spent nearly a decade in retail management, where I thrived on leading teams and creating memorable experiences. But when I became a mom, my priorities shifted. I wanted a career that allowed me to show up for my family while still pursuing my passions. That led me to marketing for a small-town insurance agency, where I saw firsthand how digital strategy and design could transform a business. From there, I moved into real estate marketing, which gave me space to explore creativity without limits and become more rooted in community.
Later, I stepped into a marketing consultant role and poured myself into building another company’s brand. When that chapter came to an end, I knew it was God’s way of nudging me toward something bigger—so I followed that whisper and launched L Woods Marketing, blending my passion for people, community, and digital storytelling.
Today, LWM is more than a business—it’s a family. It’s built on passion, creativity, and women’s empowerment, with my husband running much of the backend operations and providing incredible drone work for our clients. Even our kids play a part, learning how to create content, build connections, and understand what it means to run a business. That’s what makes this journey so special: it’s not only meaningful work, it’s deeply personal.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest struggles has been keeping pace with the ever-changing digital landscape. Social media and digital marketing trends move quickly, and staying ahead requires constant learning, adaptability, and a willingness to experiment. Pair that with the natural challenges of entrepreneurship—like balancing client needs with business growth, or overcoming the self-doubt that creeps in when you’re building something of your own—and it hasn’t always been easy. But I’ve found that leaning into my vision, leading with intention, and staying rooted in community keeps me grounded no matter how fast the digital world evolves.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
L Woods Marketing is where creativity meets connection. We specialize in social media management, brand storytelling, and digital strategy for small businesses and nonprofits. What sets me apart is the personal, people-first approach—I don’t just market brands, I partner with them. What I’m most proud of with L Woods Marketing is the genuine, organic growth we’ve experienced through word of mouth. When new clients come to me because they were referred by someone I’ve worked or networked with—and then share that my reputation matches exactly who I am—passionate, fun, and personable,—that means everything. For me, this business isn’t about checking boxes; it’s about building relationships. Each client becomes more than a project—they become a partner, a friend, and a part of the LWM story. I’m also proud that through this work, I get to show other women what’s possible—that we are strong, capable, and able to create something meaningful in this industry!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I would say being intentional is the key. I want every piece of work to reflect their story and vision. Building genuine relationships, listening to clients’ needs, and creating strategies that feel authentic to who they are has been the foundation of L Woods Marketing. Pairing all of that with resilience—the willingness to adapt, learn, and push through the “what ifs”—is what keeps me moving forward and growing!
