Kseniya Parsons shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Kseniya, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
Most of my customers have dealt with the same common denominator: inconsistent or bad contractors. They have either been scammed or not communicated with when trying to accomplish a project. One aspect I strive for in my business is making sure that each client feels like I care as much for their project as they do. I try to take on their stress of wanting a great product, and even if it leads to working overtime, or trying to perfect a product on my own time and unpaid, I still try to achieve this so that the customer leaves with a great experience, being able to make connections and trust the businesses they choose to work with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kseniya Parsons, and I operate a mural and logo business in Fort Worth, TX, and the surrounding areas. What sets me apart is my unique style and approach to painting. While many established mural artists charge high rates for their work, my goal is to make every project affordable for my clients. I strive to foster connections and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs. My aim is for clients to leave not only satisfied with the final product but also pleased with the communication and costs involved in the project.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
In the past years, I have been able to travel around the US and Canada to be able to paint for clients. One thing I have learned along the way is that most people just want to find a contractor that they can trust. Someone they know will have their best interest at heart. The moments that shape me the most are the ones where a client is so thankful after I am able to finish a product for them. When they are genuinely thankful that they were able to be stress-free about allowing someone else to take on their burden as their own. That’s what shapes my company and work.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Sometimes you will encounter failed projects or mishaps. It’s not a matter of whether you will fail, but when. A person’s value is not determined by the problems they face, but by how they handle them. Stay humble, and use each failure as a teaching moment to become a better person in all aspects of life.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Hard work! In our capitalistic society, those who succeed are indeed the ones who put in the work. Therefore, do the hard things. Wake up at 4am, drive an hour to work in 100-degree heat, work 10 hours, and then repeat. So many lessons can be learned by humbling yourself and pushing your limits.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
Experiencing life to the fullest. I have learned the most by travelling and meeting people from all sorts of cultural backgrounds! There has never been a negative lesson learned, Only positive outcomes even in the worst experiences.
