I’ve been in the insurance industry for over 13 years, and my journey has always been about serving others with clarity, integrity, and heart. I started working with families and small business owners, helping them protect what mattered most, and over time I realized I wanted more control over how I could serve—more freedom to guide people, more opportunities to build something lasting.
That’s when my husband George and I decided to start The Agent’s Office®, our family business. From day one, we’ve built it on Kingdom principles, making faith, integrity, and service the foundation of everything we do. It wasn’t easy—starting a business comes with challenges, long hours, and plenty of moments where I had to lean completely on God—but we stayed consistent, focused, and committed to building relationships rather than just selling policies.
Today, we’re proud to be a one-stop shop for personal, commercial, and life insurance, helping families and business owners protect their future while creating a legacy of faith and purpose. Looking back, the lessons are clear: show up consistently, serve with heart, trust God, and never underestimate the power of relationships. Every policy we write is an opportunity to make a real difference—and that’s what drives us every single day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business comes with its challenges—long hours, moments of doubt, and the pressure of making decisions that affect real families and businesses. Learning to balance work, family, and personal growth was tough, especially in the early days.
There were times when growth felt slow, or when I questioned if I was doing enough—but through faith, prayer, and leaning on God, I kept moving forward. I also relied heavily on my husband George, who has been my rock, supporting me in every step. Each challenge taught me something important: the value of perseverance, the power of relationships, and the need to stay consistent while keeping God at the center of every decision.
We’ve been impressed with The Agent’s Office®, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m Mayra Calvillo Azide, and together with my husband George, we own The Agent’s Office®, a family business where we’re building a legacy. Our agency is Kingdom-driven and based on biblical principles, and everything we do is rooted in faith, integrity, and service.
We are a one-stop shop for insurance, specializing in personal lines, commercial lines, and life insurance. That means we help families protect their homes, cars, and valuables, guide business owners to protect their companies and employees, and offer life insurance solutions that build long-term security. What sets us apart is that we focus on relationships, education, and clarity—we don’t just sell policies; we make sure our clients truly understand their coverage and feel confident in their choices.
I’m most proud of the impact we’ve made—helping families save money, protecting businesses, and empowering people to make decisions that secure their future. We’ve built a brand that stands for trust, service, and faith-driven integrity.

We’re also exploring ways to enhance our offerings, whether through new insurance solutions, community education, or partnerships that allow us to serve even more people effectively.
Personally, I’m looking forward to continuing my growth as an entrepreneur and leader, building multiple income streams, and creating systems that allow us to work smarter while still staying connected to family and faith. Big changes are on the horizon, but my focus will always be on impact, integrity, and leaving a legacy for our clients, our community, and our family.
