Meet Dora Toma of Fertility to Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dora Toma.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into women’s health and fertility coaching began with my own story. After experiencing pregnancy loss, I carried the grief and questions so many women silently face. When I began preparing for my second pregnancy, I realized I wanted to do things differently — to understand how to truly support my body, balance my hormones, and rebuild my energy so that it felt safe and ready to conceive again.
After my daughter was born, postpartum brought new challenges — from hormone imbalances and fatigue to the deep physical and emotional work of recovery. I quickly learned that “pushing through” wasn’t the answer. What my body needed was restoration, nourishment, and balance. That season taught me that women deserve so much more support, both in preparing for pregnancy and in navigating the postpartum chapter.
Those experiences inspired me to become a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and later specialize in HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis). These tools gave me the missing pieces I had long been searching for — connecting minerals, metabolism, stress resilience, and overall wellness to fertility and hormone health.
Today, through my practice Fertility to Wellness, I support women locally in McKinney, TX and virtually nationwide who are struggling with fertility, hormonal imbalances, low energy, or postpartum depletion. My work is centered on helping women restore their foundation of health so they can conceive with ease, enjoy vibrant pregnancies, and step into motherhood feeling strong and supported.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. After my pregnancy loss, I carried a lot of grief and unanswered questions. When I began preparing for my second pregnancy, I struggled with hormone imbalances, low energy, and the constant feeling that something wasn’t quite right in my body, even when conventional labs said everything looked “normal.” That was frustrating and isolating — it felt like I had to piece everything together on my own.
Postpartum brought its own challenges as well. The fatigue, the shifts in hormones, and the physical and emotional demands of that season left me feeling depleted. I realized quickly that healing isn’t about bouncing back — it’s about slowing down, nourishing the body, and allowing it the space it needs to recover. Those struggles were some of the hardest chapters of my life, but they also became the turning point that led me to search for deeper answers and ultimately shaped the work I do today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business, Fertility to Wellness, was born out of the belief that every woman deserves to feel supported, empowered, and equipped with real answers when it comes to her fertility and hormones. I specialize in helping women who are trying to conceive, preparing for pregnancy, or navigating postpartum depletion. Many of my clients come to me after months or years of frustration — they’ve been told “everything looks fine” on paper, yet they still struggle with irregular cycles, fatigue, hormone imbalances, or unexplained infertility.
What sets my work apart is that I focus on the foundations first. Instead of rushing to a quick fix, I help women strengthen the areas that matter most: nutrition, movement, sleep, reducing environmental toxins, and cultivating stress resilience. I also incorporate Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and other functional approaches to uncover the root causes behind symptoms and struggles. By connecting the dots between minerals, metabolism, and hormones, I can give women a deeper understanding of what their body truly needs to feel safe and supported.
Alongside my fertility and women’s health work, I also support children through HTMA and foundational wellness — helping parents better understand their kids’ energy, mood, and developmental needs so the whole family can thrive.
I’m most proud of the fact that my brand has become a safe space for women — and families — to feel heard, validated, and given tools that actually work. Fertility to Wellness isn’t just about getting pregnant, it’s about helping women reclaim their energy, balance, and confidence so they can move through pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood with strength and peace of mind.
At the heart of it all, I want readers to know that there is always hope and there are always steps you can take to improve your health and fertility. You don’t have to settle for “wait and see” or “just relax.” With the right support, your body can heal, restore balance, and thrive.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is going with my dad to the mountains in the summer, where we would camp out in our caravan in the woods. I can still remember the peaceful sounds of the river flowing nearby, the birds singing, and the wind moving through the trees. Those summer trips felt magical — simple, quiet, and so connected to nature. Looking back, I think that time outdoors is what gave me a deep appreciation for slowing down, being present, and finding peace in natural rhythms — something I carry with me today in the way I approach health and wellness.
