Hi DeAnna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got started in the mortgage industry back in 2005. I started as a jr Loan Officer, then went into processing before getting my license & started originating loans for myself. I believe that my time as a processor has made me a better loan officer knowing exactly how underwriting looks at loans & evaluates them. I enjoy helping people achieve their dreams & educating them about their options through the process.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are always struggles in the mortgage industry, but I would say what keeps me going is the feedback we get from our clients. knowing we are impacting them the way we do makes my heart happy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a certified mortgage advisor, and I do my best to help clients not only get into a home but manage their debts to help them get out of debt. I love numbers – so truly helping clients put them & their family in a better position financially is always my goal.
I love working with all clients but first time buyers, & self-employed buyers are always rewarding to me. Sometimes they are complex, or not as easy but that is what makes them so rewarding. I am married to a veteran, so VA loans have a special place in my heart.
I have been originating loans since 2008 and pride myself in doing complete & full pre-approvals. I make sure clients will be approved before sending them to go under contract. By doing this we can close within 2 weeks, and I issue a $2,000 guarantee to the seller that we will close on time.
How do you define success?
Happy customers – a successful day, week, month, or year starts and ends with happy customers. My job is to help as many customers have a pleasant & smooth transaction, creating clients & friends for life.
