Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Korrin Taylor.
Hi Dr. Korrin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in Plano, and my journey into chiropractic began through my own health struggles. At 19, just before starting college basketball, I experienced my first epileptic seizure. Over the next six years I faced frequent episodes that left me feeling powerless over my health.
Everything changed when I enrolled in the chiropractic program at Parker University and began receiving consistent adjustments. I discovered what chiropractic was created for— restoring balance to the nervous system, the system that controls every function of the body. With regular adjustments, my seizures became less frequent, and now it’s been years since my last one.
I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree and certifications in both the Zone Technique and Webster Technique. With that foundation, I opened Vita Nova Chiropractic in my hometown of Plano to help families “redefine what normal feels like.”
What does that mean? For many people, it has become “normal” to wake up with headaches, to struggle through the workday with constant pain, or to deal with seasonal allergies year after year. Parents may even assume it’s normal for their kids to always be constipated, colicky, or restless. Let me be clear: that isn’t normal — and it’s not something we should accept as part of life. Anything less points to an imbalanced nervous system. Normal function is perfect function. My mission is to serve this community by restoring balance to the body, so people can experience the freedom and health they were designed for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I love this question because the answer depends entirely on the mindset you choose to adopt. I believe God doesn’t put anything in front of me that I cannot overcome. In fact, I know He places obstacles in my path to strengthen me and force me to grow.
From a day-to-day perspective, the road was anything but smooth. I took on the task of a full buildout—transforming bare concrete floors into a fully functional office. We added walls, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring—everything. It was my first time managing a project of this scale, and the process took nearly 10 months. I opened much later than expected, and the costs exceeded our budget. There were days of doubt, and I often questioned my decisions. Even now, as my focus has shifted from simply being able to open to staying open — and building the practice into a true community of healing — I am constantly learning and figuring out the best way to push forward.
What drives me to keep moving forward is my trust that God is guiding each step. Looking back, I see how blessed I truly am—not only that the process went more smoothly than I could have imagined, but that I even had the opportunity to take it on. That perspective fuels my gratitude—not just for the lessons learned, but for the chance to serve others in their health with faith and confidence.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Vita Nova Chiropractic, our mission is simple: to make health attainable for everyone. Everything we do is rooted in one belief: the body was designed to heal — and when it’s in balance, it can.
We focus exclusively on neurologically-based chiropractic adjustments. No machines, no extras — just precise, intentional care that restores balance to the nervous system, so the body can function the way it was created to.
We serve families, athletes, kids, and parents who all share the same goal: to feel well and stay well. The results speak for themselves: less stress, more energy, better sleep, and the freedom of knowing your health is in your hands.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Service is the most important characteristic. From the very beginning, my goal has been to serve people — whether that’s adjusting a newborn, helping a parent get through their workday without pain, or simply creating an office environment where families feel cared for. True service means putting others first, listening closely, and showing up with consistency.
I believe that when service is genuine, everything else follows. Patients feel it, trust grows, and lives are changed. At Vita Nova Chiropractic, service isn’t just something we do — it’s who we are.
