Almighty Lord Wrecka of Mesquite on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Almighty Lord Wrecka. Check out our conversation below.

Almighty, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is getting up at 6:30am to get ready for work. I drop my daughter off at school then head to my campus. I’m a HS P.E. teacher by day. I’m usually home by 7:00pm after I leave the gym. I’ll cook dinner then spend the evening in my garage working on music until 11 or 12 pm..wsh rinse repeat.. lol

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Almighty Lord Wrecka .. a 20+ year veteran of Hip Hop who is not just adding to the game but flipping the script. With razor-sharp lyricism and a deep rooted respect for the craft, Wrecka brings BOOM BAP SOUL to life, a sound that fuses golden-era grit with modern soul. This isn’t nostalgia, this is evolution. It’s Hip Hop with a heartbeat, Truth-telling bars over soul-drenched production, offering something real in a world drowning in hype.

I’m currently working on my next album due to be released July 2, 2026. The album is titled “THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY”, This album is for fans of beats and bars. Nothing but heavy hitters on this album and I’m excited about putting out their for my fans.

In my personal life, I’m a widowed father of five children. I was married for 22 years when my wife suddenly was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in March of 2019, She passed away June 27, 2019 at 6:15am. I’m still struggling with the loss of my soulmate but this music helps keep me going.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I believed I was shy and not that important to what’s going on in the world. I know know that I have a gift that can uplift and motivate people when they hear my music.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I almost gave up on music after I released a mixtape several years ago. I was talking to a friend about quitting music and he asked me, “do you enjoy doing it”? I said yes, and then he told me, So why quit? At that moment I knew I would continue writing and recording until the casket closes.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I would say yes. With me, what you see is what you get. I don’t know how to fake it or pretend to be something or somebody else, That takes too much energy. I’m authentic and I’m the same person I’ve always been, just a little older and wi4ser now.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
I’ll never regret chasing my dreams!
