Life & Work with Alexandra Turner of Duncanville, Tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Turner.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Thirteen years ago, I started my business in the most humble of spaces—my garage. What we lacked in square footage, we made up for in passion, grit, and countless late nights. With faith as our foundation and a heart full of purpose, doors began to open. Slowly but surely, our work found its way into the lives of couples celebrating one of life’s most sacred milestones. As our reputation grew, we transitioned into a 900-square-foot studio—a space that allowed us to serve our clients with greater intention and artistry. After four transformative years, we outgrew that space and moved into our current 3,000-square-foot studio, a reflection of how far we’ve come and how deeply we believe in the beauty of what we do. This journey hasn’t been easy. It’s been built on faith, love, and an unwavering commitment to creating floral experiences that honor life’s most meaningful moments. Today, we continue to serve wonderful couples, and each wedding reminds us why we started: to bring joy, elegance, and emotional resonance to every celebration.

As we grow, our vision now extends beyond fresh florals. With the launch of Blooming Branches Rentals, we’re redefining luxury faux florals, making them elevated, intentional, and emotionally resonant. These collections were created to support couples who plan and fund their own weddings. We believe every love story deserves beauty, and our designs allow clients to honor their budget without sacrificing style, ambiance, or the artistry that makes a celebration unforgettable. Every arrangement is crafted to tell a story of love, legacy, and the quiet magic of thoughtful design.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to building this business has been anything but easy. In the early years, I wore every hat—designer, marketer, bookkeeper, delivery driver—often working late into the night with little more than faith and determination to guide me. Yes, I faced countless struggles. One that stands out most was learning how to carefully pack each floral arrangement so it would arrive safely and beautifully to every event. I even taught myself how to drive a box truck—something I never imagined I’d need to master. But perhaps the greatest challenge was finding the right people to walk this journey with me—those who shared my passion for floristry and my deep love for serving couples with heart and intention. Each obstacle became a lesson in resilience, and every hard-won victory shaped the business into what it is today: a place where beauty blooms from purpose, and love is woven into every petal.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As the lead floral designer, I have the privilege of meeting with our couples, listening to their stories, and crafting bespoke proposals and design renderings that reflect their vision. I’m deeply proud to do what I love most, creating meaningful floral experiences—and even more grateful to see my sons now working alongside me in the business I began in our garage. Clients often describe me as caring, helpful, and passionate, and I strive to bring that warmth into every interaction. What truly sets my work apart is the intentionality behind each design, the thoughtful elements, layered textures, and signature style that turn florals into storytelling.
