Today we’d like to introduce you to Farhan Fallahi.
Farhan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Wedding Erah really started with the power of social media. I was creating tablescapes, floral designs, and full wedding concepts right on my own dining table at home, capturing the details, and posting them online. What began as small creative projects quickly grew into a platform where couples and industry peers could see what I was capable of and the kind of experiences I envisioned. Through consistency and persistence, those early designs transformed into opportunities for real weddings, and before long, Wedding Erah was producing six-figure celebrations. At its heart, the journey has always been about showing what’s possible and bringing bold, editorial visions to life for couples who want their day to feel unlike anything else.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road. From the day we launched Wedding Erah until the business actually started to bring in revenue, it took about nine months. And that’s exactly what I mean when I talk about persistence and consistency. In those early stages, no one is depending on you, no one is forcing you to keep going, and it’s so much easier to give up. There were many moments when it would have been easier to stop, but the key was to keep knocking on the door, to keep showing up, to stay consistent and persistent so people could get to know me, see my work, and understand where I came from. That discipline and drive are what differentiated the path for us and ultimately brought us to where we are today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I came to weddings through fashion. I studied fashion design, and started as a bridal designer, and quickly realized I could translate couture thinking, silhouette, texture, movement, into entire environments. At Wedding Erah we specialize in editorial, fashion-forward celebrations that break the rules on purpose: fruits and fabrics mixed with florals, wildflowers beside sculptural stems, chairs wrapped in leaves or textiles, details that make guests do a double take and ask, “What’s the story here?” What sets us apart is that every choice is anchored to the couple’s narrative, not trends. I’m most proud when a space feels alive, photogenic, yes, but more importantly immersive, so the day reads like a world that could only belong to them.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Yes, I would say I’m a risk taker, often even an impulse decision-maker. That’s not always the smartest thing, but I’ve found that starting and doing something is a lot easier than sitting around thinking about it every day. One of the biggest risks I ever took was leaving a safe, well-salaried 9-to-5 job to start a business I had no roadmap for. I didn’t know how it would begin, where it would go, or how I’d actually make money from it and turn it into a living. But for me, giving up wasn’t really an option. All the bridges behind me were burned, and the only way forward was to keep showing up, stay consistent, and keep pushing through.
There were definitely late nights, early mornings, and moments of regret when it felt overwhelming. But looking back now, I’m grateful I took that leap. I honestly believe you have to jump when it feels the scariest to jump. Because if you sit there weighing every risk factor, you can always come up with a hundred reasons not to do something, whether it’s starting a business, traveling, or even starting a family. In my experience, the best way forward has been to stop overthinking and simply begin.
