Hi Korina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The genesis of Korina, I was born in Texas but raised in Miami, and after losing my father at just three years old, I learned early how to adapt and find my own strength. I decided that my life would be about creating meaning and building something lasting, not just getting by.
While attending court reporting school, which wasone of the most demanding programs I’ve ever taken on, I became a licensed insurance agent. Balancing both taught me grit, focus, and the power of betting on myself.
What started as a way to create stability quickly became a mission: helping people navigate Medicare, health insurance, and financial planning with clarity and confidence.
Today, I combine my expertise with heart. I believe knowledge is power, and my goal is to remove the confusion and fear around insurance so people can make choices that support the life they dream of.
With every risk and every reinvention I have become all about building a life filled with purpose, freedom, and connection.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The insurance industry has changed so much since the Affordable Care Act. As an agent, you can’t just get licensed once and coast. You have to stay sharp and informed because laws, regulations, and plan options are constantly shifting.
Every year brings new rules, carrier updates, and state and federal changes that affect people’s coverage and costs. I spend a lot of time in training, certifications, and research so my clients get accurate, up-to-date guidance. To me, it’s never just about selling a plan, it’s about being a true advocate and helping people make decisions that protect their health and finances.
Those challenges have shaped me into the kind of agent who thrives on staying ahead of the curve and turning complicated changes into clear, simple solutions for my clients.
