Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Mankins.
Hi Natasha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Natasha Mankins PharmD FAAMM ABAAHP transformed her own health battles into a mission: helping others move beyond ‘normal’ labs and step into a life of energy, clarity, and balance. My path into functional medicine wasn’t just professional; it was also personal. For years I struggled; and doctors tried to prescribe me medications I didn’t want to fill. As a pharmacist, I knew exactly what those drugs were doing in the body (yes, the whole pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics thing), and I thought, ‘No thanks, I spent four years, earning a doctorate degree in pharmacy, reading and understanding the fine print.’ I didn’t want to mask symptoms; I wanted to know the truth with real answers.
Through advanced training from the, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, I discovered I had estrogen dominance. Translation: my hormones weren’t just a little off they were making me miserable. And here’s the kicker: my labs said everything was ‘within normal range’. But feeling normal isn’t the same as feeling optimized. Once I finally got my hormones balanced, I felt like myself again energized, clear, and unstoppable.
That experience is the whole reason why I launched Sultrosium Wellness. I know firsthand how frustrating it is to feel unheard. I am not the only one who feels this way. That’s why I build personalized wellness plans because your body deserves more than a cookie-cutter fix. Around here, we don’t settle for ‘just okay.’ We aim for thrive mode with a touch of humor, a lot of science, and zero boring health lectures… But lots of chemistry!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been more of a bumpy road rather than a smooth one. I think a lot of entrepreneurs can relate: starting a business is exciting, but it also pushes you right up against your own fears and weak spots. For me, one of the biggest challenges has been public speaking and simply putting myself out there. I’m a pharmacist by training so I can talk endlessly about the chemistry of hormones and functional medicine but stepping onto a stage or even recording a short video for social media felt terrifying at first.
Marketing in today’s world is all about visibility, and that hasn’t always come naturally for me. Learning to share my story online, show up consistently, and build trust through social media has been just as much a growth journey as the business itself. Keep in mind working in a pharmacy requires perfection because there is no room for error. That strict mindset doesn’t just go away when it comes to social media posts or presentations. I’ve had to get out of my comfort zone, to remember that people aren’t looking for perfect they’re looking for authenticity.
Every stumble along the way has taught me something, and honestly, those obstacles have made me more relatable to the very clients I serve. Just like them, I’ve had to work through imbalance, doubt, and fear. And now I can say with confidence that the hardest parts of the road have shaped me into a stronger, more authentic practitioner and business owner.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sultrosium Wellness?
My business is called Sultrosium Wellness, and even the name has a special story. It’s rooted in our family members names, Steve, Natasha, Sid, and Kalysta whose initials align with elements from the periodic table: S for Sulfur, N for Nitrogen, Si for Silicon, and K for Potassium. We combined fragments of those elements to create Sultrosium, a name that symbolizes both chemistry and connection. Just like the elements, my family is the foundation of what I do, and that science meets heart balance is at the core of my practice.
At Sultrosium Wellness, we specialize in personalized, pharmacist-led functional medicine. That means we don’t just chase symptoms we dig into the ‘why’ behind them. Using advanced at home lab testing, hormone optimization, and individualized protocols, I help clients uncover imbalances and create targeted plans to restore energy, balance, and resilience.
What sets us apart is the unique blend of pharmacy expertise and functional medicine insight. With over 20 years in compounding pharmacy, I bring an intimate understanding of how medications and supplements work in the body but also when they might not be the answer. Clients trust me to bridge the gap between traditional medicine and a more holistic, personalized approach. There is a lot of out- of-the-box type of thinking.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that Sultrosium represents hope and empowerment. It’s a space where clients feel heard, where they’re partners in their care, and where the goal is never just to be ‘normal’. It’s to be optimized and thriving!
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think the quality that’s been most important to my success is the ability to be both relatable and deeply knowledgeable. People come to me when they’re frustrated. When they’ve been told their labs are ‘normal’ but they still don’t feel like themselves. My clients know right away that I understand what they’re going through, not just because of my professional training, but because I’ve been down that road myself. That relatability builds trust.
At the same time, my 20+ years of pharmacy experience and advanced functional medicine training means I can connect the dots in ways others might miss. It’s that combination of lived experience, expertise, and compassion that allows me to create personalized plans that actually work. I believe success comes from being someone who clients feel comfortable opening up to, while also having the knowledge and experience to guide them toward real, lasting change.
