Hi Jenn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Husband and I met in the restaurant industry almost 18 years ago. I was his sales rep and he was the managing partner. We have been together ever since. I have 15+ years wine industry experience, he has 30+ years in the restuarant industry. Together we created Sip+Savor ( where I am the sip and he is the savor (foodie) We wanted to create something not just food forward, but a reason to keep the neighborhood in their backyard without having to go into the city for unique cocktails, beautiful vibe and colorful plates. So we dreamed and prayed and here we are! Celebrating 3 years in November, we believe every glass or cocktail should be shared with flavorful unique plates. We love being here serving this community and raising our family of 6 here locally. We offer lunch, HH, dinner and weekend brunch. We have a beautiful patio, private dining space, semi private space and bar to enjoy all of the above!
We are so much more than just a restaurant we bring community and memories together one plate at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Its been an incredible journey, not easy but when you are doing with your best friend nothing we face can’t be overcome. We both know our lanes, me marketing, sales, design and my husband everything else. If we see a problem we both attack it together as ONE! Sure its been hard, but we have learned and grown so much in just a short time period nothing will get in our way and success is measured by so much more than sales it is measured more by how you make people feel and seen. How your team operates and you make people feel in a space you created literally from scratch!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Sip+Savor?
We have a strong faith, there is scripture in our walls where our church came in and prayed over before we even opened the doors. We cannot and should not do any of this without our lord and savior. We know we wouldn’t be here without him and couldn’t do any of this without our strong faith.
THis is what sets us a part from every other business, people always say something just feels different in here and we always point it back to him. NOT to mention we are a Husband+wife venture, most businesses are just the husband or just the wife. NOPE we are ONE team, constantly collobarting and braindstorming new ideas to bring to this community. We are most proud to say that we have had over a dozen of our staff members still with us from day one, that is almost 4 years of commitment; we’re even more proud to say we built this from the ground up literally. Our space was simply a kids clothing store, no bar, no restrooms, no kitchen. We had a vision and brought it to life!
We specialize in classic Americana dishes, with a curated cocktail/wine program to follow. What this means to most is that from our ketchup to our ranch dressing everything is made in house! We dont have 1 microwave and we support local for every ingredient we plate with.
How do you think about happiness?
Have a strong faith in our community and family. We know we couldn’t do any of this without our family, friends and community! We work to ensure we know everyone by name and if your new here we welcome you as family.
