We’re looking forward to introducing you to sapna radhakrishnan. Check out our conversation below.
sapna, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been finding joy in slow mornings, cooking family recipes, and reading just for fun. But the greatest joy comes from time with my son, talking, connected moments that remind me why presence matters more than perfection.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Sapna Radhakrishnan,a parenting coach, author of Yelling to Zenning, and founder of Parenting Alchemy, where I help parents move from chaos to connection using tools from psychology, mindfulness, and NLP. My work is about helping parents build relationships rooted in trust rather than control, presence rather than pressure. What makes my approach unique is that I don’t just teach parenting techniques. I guide parents to understand their own emotional patterns, so they can connect with their children from a place of calm and authenticity. I’ve been featured on Good Morning Texas, Forbes, and Parents Magazine, and I’m currently expanding my workshops and speaking engagements to reach more families who are ready to parent with confidence and compassion.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I had to be perfect to be loved , to get the gold star, the approval, the smile.
Today, I know love doesn’t ask for perfection; it asks for presence.
The more I’ve learned to sit with myself, flaws and all, the more I’ve understood what true connection really means
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time I almost gave up, not on life, but on myself.
I was exhausted from trying to be everything for everyone — the perfect mom, the perfect wife, the perfect professional.
I remember feeling like no matter how hard I tried, it was never enough.
But that breaking point became my awakening.
I realized I didn’t need to give up …. I needed to let go.
Let go of perfection, of approval, of comparison. That moment became the foundation of everything I now teach about connection and self-trust.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is a part of the real me, but not the whole.
What people see ,the calm, confident parenting coach, comes from years of inner work, not from being naturally calm or having it all figured out.
Behind that version is a woman who’s stumbled, questioned herself, and learned through her own parenting journey.
I used to think authenticity meant showing everything. Now I know it means showing up truthfully, whether that’s on a stage, a screen, or in my living room with my son.
The public me and the private me share the same values , love, connection, and growth, and that’s what keeps me aligned.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had ten years left, I would stop rushing.
I would stop measuring life by milestones and start living by moments.
I would stop trying to fix, prove, or perfect myself, my child, or my work.
I would savor the ordinary — a walk with my son, morning chai, conversations that touch the soul.
I would stop saying “someday” and start saying “now.”
