Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel & Ranfis Guerra.
Hi Rachel & Ranfis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We started Texas Ranch Landscaping & Irrigation LLC in 2021. Ranfis and I saw a need for landscaping and irrigation in our area and decided to go in to business together.
We started doing residential side jobs together while we were both employed for another commercial irrigation company in 2020.
I noticed that the licensed irrigators would often ask Ranfis for his expertise and advice on jobs. We teamed up. I would get the license and he would help me do the work and help me gain hands on experience in the field.
Now Ranfis manages the crews and sales and I hold the license and manage permitting.
We are a true family run business. We married right around the time we started the business and we have even welcomed a new member – Dani Rose (future manager in training)!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like all business, there have been challenges. Our biggest challenge has been working for builders that don’t want to pay when the work is completed.
Through that experience we have learned a lot.
Ultimately the road has been pretty smooth. Our customers are happy with the work we do and often return which is a big testament to the quality of our work and our successes.

We are a landscaping and irrigation company. We specialize in making beautiful landscapes!
Ranfis prides himself on doing things right the first time, it is very rare that our irrigation systems need warranty work done. Our customers return to us and we are so proud of that. He has a very good eye for making a beautiful landscape; from sod to flowerbeds he can do it all.
I (Rachel) personally love the sod installation process that Ranfis uses. The grass always grows in to a beautiful lawn. Our crews take extra steps to ensure the grass will survive.
What sets us apart from other businesses in the industry is that we truly care about our customers. We won’t upcharge or oversell a job and deem it “necessary” unless it truly is. We like saving our customers some money where we can.
We do anything that can make a front or back yard beautiful and functional such as
Irrigation systems – install and repairs
Landscaping – trees, flower beds and sod
Drains
Fencing
Tree trimming
Mulching
Removal and filling in old pools
Retaining walls
Setting statues
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Rachel :: is currently reading The Regenerative Landscaper by Erik Ohlsen and I occasionally listen to The Green Industry Podcast and A Way to Garden with Margaret Roach.
With a new addition to the family it has been few and far between on recreational interests in our household. We are soaking up the baby years! As I write this our baby, Dani Rose, is exploring everything.
