Daily Inspiration: Meet Kishla Hackler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kishla Hackler.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been with Granbury live off and on for about 20 years. I’ve ran my own production company there and when the Thomas‘s purchased Granbury live, I work there as an assistant. And then about seven years ago, took over as general manager.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part… Yes, it has been a smooth road! It is a fun and very exciting job. You get to meet all different kinds of people. But also get to take care of the people you fall in love with throughout the years.
Sometimes the road will be bumpy, strictly because it is the music industry. You never know when it’s gonna be up or down. But you always have to pay the bills.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I get to hire the high school kids that work in our concession area. I order all of our products for our theater. I booked the shows. I read the contracts go over them and make sure everything gets put on Facebook and our website.
I get to meet a lot of great people. Especially the artist that come through there. But the absolute best is our fans. We have some of the best loyal fans that come to Granbury live. And I have gotten to know them over the years and they are wonderful.
I get to know so many people in our community. And people always say… “ that’s the Granbury Live girl!” and I absolutely love it.
I have a lot of great people that help me with my job and I am very grateful for them.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
My blessing at Granbury live is definitely the Thomases! The Thomas‘s own Granbury live and have definitely taken care of me through my worst times and best times.
I wouldn’t be a part of the community, Granbury live, and where I am in life without the Thomases. They have definitely shared their grace and their love and taking care of me. And I am forever grateful to them. I always make the joke that I am there “unexpected adopted daughter!”
