Today we’d like to introduce you to Lillian Paris.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I originally was a hairstylist at sport clips in plano and got promoted to manager and really enjoyed the business side of things so I realized I wanted to go into the corporate world. I finished my degree while working full time and then started looking for sales jobs. I found goosehead through linked in and really liked that it was somewhere I could grow longterm.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes and no. Sales is a tough industry and it is something that takes a lot of time to grow. It includes late hours, networking groups ect. However, I am a people person so I do enjoy it. I have grown significantly as a person through this job and have excelled!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am insurance broker at goosehead insurance. I network to realtors and lenders to build my book of business. I do home and auto insurance as well as investment properties. I have worked on growing my social media to network with more people and I go by “insurance with lilly” on these platforms. I am very proud of my success so far I have been on the leaderboards the last three months and have already hit my annual goal. I am set apart from others because instead of just asking for leads from realtors and lenders I am working on building genuine relationships and helping them grow their business as well.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was going on a mission trip with my dad to Guatemala and getting to work at an orphanage and serve that community
