I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but as with everything in life, nothing comes easy. The biggest obstacle has been getting the word out about my new chapter.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I had a wonderful, fulfilling career in banking. But after 28 years, I knew it was time to take everything I had learned, the discipline, the strategy, the love for people and pour it into something that truly serves my community.

That leap of faith gave birth to Dorang Edge Consulting, a firm designed to help small businesses, families, and individuals make smarter financial and strategic decisions. My mission is simple yet powerful. To help others build, grow, and protect their wealth while empowering communities to share their own success stories.

I’ve seen firsthand how the right guidance can change the trajectory of a family or a business. That’s what drives me . Helping people make decisions that set them up for long-term success.

My entrepreneurial spirit doesn’t stop at business consulting. As a creative visionary, I also founded Belle Expressions, a slow-fashion brand that celebrates individuality through vibrant couture. Each piece is designed with intention, reflecting boldness, confidence, and the beauty of everyday courage.

Fashion, for me, is another form of storytelling. Through color, texture, and design, I want people to live boldly and authentically. Life is too short so let us enjoy it to the fullest.

Together, Dorang Edge and Belle Expressions represent the two sides of my journey. The precision of business and the passion of creativity. My work continues to inspire professionals, families, and dreamers alike to pursue their purpose with excellence and grace.

What were you like growing up?
I was born in the beautiful city of Enugu, Nigeria, to a British-trained hematologist and an entrepreneurial mother whose resilience and grace continue to inspire me. My parents gave us opportunities to travel the world with them and this exposure opened huge doors for me.

From a young age, I dreamed of becoming an actress , telling stories that could inspire, inform, and connect people. Though my parents encouraged me to pursue a more traditional path, we agreed that studying Business Administration would provide a strong foundation for the future. That decision opened doors to a fulfilling career built on strategy, leadership, and service.

My love for storytelling and creativity, however, never faded. At just twelve years old, I wrote my first book. In high school. I am a published author today and it comes from my humble beginnings. I danced, performed, and served as my school’s queen . An experience that nurtured my confidence and strengthened my belief that every stage of life can be a platform for impact.

A decade ago, my passion for dance led me back to Africa, where I have continued to mentor and empower young girls. I take pride in supporting their education and helping them recognize their potential. I also hold a deep admiration for teachers — the unsung heroes of every community and each year, I make it a personal mission to provide food items to celebrate and honor them during the Christmas season.

One of my mentees in Nigeria who I still sponsor in college is pursuing Banking and Finance at University of Nigeria. She is living out her dreams because a stranger gave her hope from when she was 13 years old.

My journey has been one of purpose, service, and gratitude, shaped by a desire to uplift others, tell meaningful stories, and creating opportunities where they are needed most.
