Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Misty Hollow of everywhere

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Misty Hollow. Check out our conversation below.

Misty, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I get lost in my art sometime or in my blogging. I do love doing both so when i get on a roll i find it hard to stop. However I do have to take breaks becasue my hands begin to cramp lol.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an Event Host/emcee ( in or out of Character ), Streamer, Costuming Event coordinotor, Set builder, and magazine owner I do blogging and vlogging as well. I did a bit of everything i guess lol. I am mostly spooky but i do other things from time to time. I just really enjoy the spooky side of life. I am hoping one day to own my own studio for photography and have markets, events, and things of the sort there.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I believed that i was not going to be able to do all the things i want to do. I had alot of trauma growing up and it really wasnt until i was about 25 years old that i decided that i wasnt meant to just be a worker bee, mom, and a homemaker. I started really getting out there and doing everything i wanted to do. I failed alot but i also did really well sometimes too. It is a comstamt struggle to find my one true calling and i may never find it but i am having fun being everything i can until I finally settle down on the one thing. I dont believe in boxing myself up and limiting myself. I have talents and ambition and i dont see why i should stop striving to do the things i love.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Very many times. It is hard to make it in any feild of work none the less in a feild of constant judgmental people, constant fighting and competeing for attenton, and people being 2 faced or doing what i call slingshotting. They pretend to be your friend until they use your popularity to grow then they dump you. I see it happen all the time and it has happened to me several times. It becomes very discouraging sometimes but i have to take a step back and remember how hard i have fought, the hours i have put in , the creativity that i share and have put forth, and i remember this is what I want to do and they either like or dont. I learned to put boundaries up, block those who use/abuse/or try to harm me, and i keep moving forward. I have to remember to believe in myself even if it feels like no one else does.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes and no. Thats is a hard question, honestly i would love to say that i am genuine all the time but its not true and if anyone in my feild says they are they are lying. Thats the facts. We all have 2 sides of us and even though i try to keep everything as genuine as possible i will admitt i am a bit more nice and aware when i deal with the public and hold a mask up ( alot due to anxiety and social anxiety crippling sometimes ). If i am at home and i can let down my mask i wear i struggle with alot of mental health issues that i dont believe is something i really want to share with everyone. It is my personal struggles. Sometimes i will talk about them in public but only when i choose to.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Everything but my magazine honestly. I would start traveling more and record them and continue to put my travels, reviews, and much more on my magazine because i love sharing those parts of my life. However i would put my phone down alot more and make every moment count on and off screen. I would stop being scared to go for things and i would stop being scared to tell a few people offthats for sure lol.
