We recently had the chance to connect with Serena Nour and have shared our conversation below.
Serena, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
I think one of the biggest misconceptions about Dipped With Love TX is that because it’s home-based, people might assume it’s less professional or not as clean as a storefront business. In reality, being home-based actually allows me to be more intentional! I can focus on quality over overhead. I use premium ingredients, pay close attention to detail, and maintain a spotless kitchen that meets (and often exceeds) commercial standards. It’s a personal space, but it runs with the same care and professionalism as any boutique bakery, just with more love in every piece.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Serena Nour, and I’m the owner of Dipped With Love TX, which I started back in 2019. I’ve always loved making people smile and surprising them with something thoughtful, so this business became the perfect way to share that joy. I specialize in chocolate-covered treats, from fruits to sweets, all made fresh and fully customizable daily for any occasion. What makes Dipped With Love TX special is the personal touch behind every order. Everything is made with care, creativity, and a lot of love, and I take pride in turning simple desserts into something memorable that brings people together.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom. She’s always seen the best in me, even before I saw it in myself. She’s the one who’s constantly encouraged me to chase things that would help me grow and become great, without ever expecting anything in return. As long as I try my best, she’s proud and that kind of unconditional support means everything to me. I’m so grateful for her.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
I used to believe that in order to be successful business, you had to have a physical store. Over time, I realized that success doesn’t depend on a storefront, it’s about passion, consistency, and faith. I truly believe that when you work hard and put your heart into what you do, God blesses your efforts in ways you might not even expect. That mindset shift has brought me so much peace and purpose in my business.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I really admire both my dad and my fiancé, they both have such amazing character. They’re calm, patient, and always quick to listen and slow to anger. My dad, even as a successful businessman, never hesitates to help or guide me whenever I need it, and my fiancé is the same way, always supportive and understanding. They both lead with wisdom, kindness, and honesty, and I truly look up to that.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people might misunderstand my legacy and think I was just “lucky.” The truth is, nothing was handed to me. I started Dipped With Love TX with just $100, buying supplies from Walmart and building everything from the ground up. There were months when I didn’t get a single order, but I stayed consistent, posting every day, and even now I still make it a point to post every couple of days. I worked full-time during the day, and at night I’d prep for farmers markets where I’d set up completely on my own, sometimes doing two back-to-back on weekends. Every step of the way, I poured everything I had back into my business, from investing in better chocolate to buying new molds and improving my setup. Nothing about this journey was luck; it’s been dedication, faith, and love from day one.
