Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Cowsert.
Hi Paige, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Paige, I’m from Garland, Texas, and I have been a professional waxing specialist for 4 years! I graduated from Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in 2020 with my Esthetician License, and I knew that waxing was my calling. After meeting and receiving specialized training from my mentor/boss Meghna Thakore at Skin Things in 2021, it wasn’t long before I was booked and busy with waxing clients, working on perfecting my craft every single day. After having the privilege of working and growing with an absolutely incredible company like Skin Things for over 3 years, it was time for me to take every ounce of knowledge that I gained through my experiences and use it to start my own individual waxing journey!
I moved to Tyler, Texas in January 2025, and after some research, learned that there were very few options in the area for body waxing, specifically specializing in Brazilian waxing. I knew that this was my opportunity to bring the art and knowledge of comfort waxing to East Texas – and Cloud Nine Waxing Studio was born!
My ultimate goal for Cloud Nine Waxing Studio is to give my clients a space where they can feel comfortable, confident, and expertly cared for. With Brazilian waxing being an intimate and sometimes intense experience, every client deserves to be met with dignity and kindness. At Cloud Nine, you can expect highly experienced technique paired with an atmosphere designed for your comfort, where your needs are the top priority.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course there have been many struggles – there always will be! From leaving my job and amazing clients in Dallas, to using every penny of my savings to start my business, and every little thing in between, they all came with a lesson to learn. I believe it’s the deepest parts of the journey where you learn the most lessons, and knowledge is power!!! I will always try to take the difficulties that life throws my way and use it to better myself and my business in any way that I can.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a full-body waxing specialist, with a focus on Brazilian waxing! I think what really sets me apart is my ability to make people feel at ease — even during a service that can feel intimidating. I’m known for my warm, no-judgment vibe, efficient and thorough technique, and making people smile through the tough moments. What I’m most proud of is building real connections with my clients and helping them walk out feeling fresh, confident, and excited to come back to Cloud Nine!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
They very first thing I think of when I think about my childhood is my sisters. The universe blessing me with not 1 but 3 sisters will be something that I never lose gratitude for. It’s an experience I wish everybody could have! One minute we’d be having a sleepover on the trampoline and laughing all night, and the next minute we’re stealing each other’s clothes and arguing over the dumbest things, but no matter what, we could always count on each other!
