Hi Seantina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began crafting Shea Butters in 2015, originally for myself and my daughters. Living with eczema and psoriasis, I found that many store-bought products—though fragrant and luxurious—would irritate my skin and cause painful breakouts. Determined to find a better solution, I dove into research, exploring natural ingredients that could soothe and nourish rather than harm. Through trial and error, I developed a Shea Butter blend that truly worked for me.
One day, while chatting with a friend, she asked if I had any lotion. I handed her a jar of my homemade Shea Butter. When I told her I made it myself, she was stunned—and immediately encouraged me to share it with others. She believed, as I now do, that so many people could benefit from what I’d created.
That moment sparked something bigger. I expanded my formulations to include products for hair and scalp care, addressing the same sensitivities I experienced there. And just like that, Seantina&Co. was born—a brand rooted in healing, authenticity, and the power of nature.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, the journey hasn’t always been smooth. It took plenty of trial and error to discover the right blends—ones that worked for my sensitive skin, held up over time, and resonated with others. Each setback taught me something new, helping me refine my formulas into the healing products I offer today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
By day, I lead a team of 18–22 professionals in Reservations at Delta Air Lines—a role I’ve proudly held since October 2019. After investing 8–10 hours supporting a major brand, I believe it’s only right to pour 4–6 hours into building my own. That’s how Seantina&Co. continues to grow—through late nights, early mornings, and unwavering commitment.
My dream is to see Seantina&Co. become a household name, stocked in stores across the country and trusted by families everywhere. I’m proud of the passion that fuels me—even on the days I’m exhausted—because creating something of my own, something that heals and inspires, is worth every ounce of energy.
