Hi Cody, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been drawn to marketing and to understanding what drives people to choose one thing over another. Growing up I was always making these “side businesses”, if you could call them that, and learning everything I could to make each one better than the last. That curiosity eventually led me to pursue my Bachelor’s and later my Master’s in Marketing at Texas A&M University–Commerce. Through internships and into my professional career, I soaked up as much as I could and discovered that my real interest is the digital side of marketing, leaning more into website design, search engine optimization, and online advertising. Over the years, friends and local business owners began asking for help with their marketing, and I enjoyed getting to give advice and seeing what results they were seeing in return. By early 2025, I wanted to build something of my own which led me to start ScatterBranch Digital Marketing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been fortunate so far not to face any challenge that I could not work through. No business is without struggle, and I am sure new obstacles will appear, but I am confident because I have a strong network that is generous with advice and perspective. When problems arise, I lean on that community, stay calm, and focus on practical solutions that keep clients moving forward.

ScatterBranch Digital Marketing helps businesses at any stage grow online with practical work that leads to measurable results. We build clean, high performing websites, make sure their customers can find you in local search, and run targeted campaigns that drive real leads and sales. We operate primarily in Texas and keep the process transparent with simple reporting that shows what is working and what we are improving next.
What sets us apart is disciplined testing and hands-on execution. We do not chase vanity metrics. We focus on the actions that move the needle, then prove it with clear data and steady iteration. Clients work directly with a marketer who understands websites, search, ads, and ecommerce marketplaces, so decisions stay aligned and timelines stay short.
Brand wise, I’m proud that I was able to connect my love for the outdoors with our identity, to create something more approachable and less stiff and rigid. Our main motto, “Your Growth, Our Guiding Branch”, is representative of this to show that our clients are more than a number on a spreadsheet. We care about their business’s success and are willing to find those solutions that everyday business owners are facing.
What are your plans for the future?
As of right now, we’re looking to expand our offerings to new and existing clients to help them stand out in the crowded market. We’re beginning to integrate advertising through streaming services and staying up to date on the latest with AI search and ads as that outlet continues to evolve.
