Today we’d like to introduce you to Wilbert Odom.
Hi Wilbert , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always believed in the idea that we’re made to maximize— that every person and every business has untapped potential just waiting to be unlocked. The journey that led to founding TND Maximize started with that core belief, and over time it became the framework for how I work with clients, teams and projects today.
My interest in entertainment marketing and management began during my time at Dillard University, where I first recognized how creative projects and talent-led ventures often lacked the solid execution and integrity they deserved.
In those early days I managed recording artists in the Rap & R&B world and came face to face with a recurring gap: the vision was exciting, the talent was present, but the operational follow-through wasn’t always there.
That experience planted a key question for me: How do you go beyond the idea and deliver every detail with excellence?
A few a few key milestones:
Early career: Managed and supported recording artists, gained direct insight into the challenges of delivering fan-experiences while maintaining operational integrity (Rap & R&B industry).
2005: Accepted the event production role for “Phase II Singles Talk Show”, marking the transition into full project management for events.
Founded TND (The Next Dimension Marketing & Management) in 2006 to broaden the scope beyond individual talent to full-scale project, event, brand and business management.
Built a diverse client base—from recording artists and entrepreneurs to large events and non-profits—which bolstered our expertise and reputation.
Recognition: Opportunities in stage and project management, and collaborations across entertainment, non-profits, telecommunications and internet media.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road towards success hasn’t been smooth. A few Challenges I face along the way, and how I overcame them!
Challenge: Bridging vision to execution — many creative or entrepreneurial ventures have big ideas but lack the infrastructure or detailed planning to realize them.
How I overcame it: I focused on developing repeatable systems, clear project plans, detailed logistics and accountability structures (for both myself and my clients).
Challenge: Operating in industries (entertainment, event, brand) where transparency and integrity weren’t always the default.
How I overcame it: I committed to building my work on trust, clear communication and ethical practices so that my brand would stand out for reliability, not just creativity.
Challenge: Scaling from single-project focus to a multi-service business: stepping beyond doing the work myself to delivering a broader suite of services and managing teams & operations.
How I overcame it: By making systems, processes and partnerships foundational to the business; hiring or working with specialists; refining the business model to support growth.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Next Dimension Marketing & Management, LLC?
Thank you for the opportunity to share more about my company, TND Maximize. In short: we are a strategy-forward, execution-driven consulting and management company built to help creatives, entrepreneurs and emerging businesses move from potential to performance.
What we do
TND Maximize is focused on partnering with clients who are ready to leave behind “good enough” and move into “what’s possible.” Our core practice includes:
• Clarifying vision and strategy: helping organizations define where they’re going, how they’ll get there, and what success looks like.
• Designing systems and operations: building structures, repeatable processes and disciplined execution frameworks so the vision becomes real, not just aspirational.
• Supporting execution and growth: assisting with talent, branding, event/production logistics, and operations so that our clients don’t just have ideas, they deliver outcomes.
What we specialize in / what we’re known for:
We’re known for working at the intersection of creative enterprise and business pragmatism. While many firms do “marketing” or “branding” or “event-production,” TND Maximize brings all of that together along with a systems mindset and accountability lens. We specialize in:
• Full-cycle event production, project management, and brand activation
• Business consulting for growth-phase companies and creative/entrepreneurial initiatives that need structure as well as inspiration
• Creating alignment between purpose, brand, strategy and operations so that “brand” isn’t just a glue word, but a living engine of performance
• Artist / talent development and representation (in entertainment, media, creative space)
What sets us apart
Here are a few things I believe distinguish TND Maximize:
• Integration across disciplines: We don’t just craft strategy or run a one-off campaign; we walk the full cycle from vision → systems → execution. That end-to-end capability means fewer hand-offs, fewer gaps, and more momentum.
• Operational discipline + creative mindset: Many creative firms lean heavy on ideas; many business consultants lean heavy on structure. We bring both. We believe ideas without follow-through cost more than they save; and structure without vision lacks fuel.
• Tailored partnership for emerging-to-scaling clients: I’ve found that organizations making the leap from “startup / creative hustle” to “growth mode” often get under-served by either traditional agencies (which may assume big budgets) or consultancies (which may assume large scale). TND Maximize intentionally works in that sweet spot: ambitious but still building.
• Brand built on integrity & value: We’ve built the business around a commitment to doing the right things in the right way not just chasing flashy wins but delivering sustainable results and standing behind our work.
What I’m most proud of (brand-wise):
What I’m most proud of is the fact that our brand stands as both a promise and a practice: we help our clients maximize what they already have, while building what they’ve not yet tapped into. That phrase “made to maximize”—is central. On our website we say it plainly: “Maximizing Your Business Potential”. Your business was made to maximize. Your vision was made to maximize.”
I’m proud that we’ve been able to help clients gain clarity, build infrastructure and move into more effective execution this isn’t theoretical, it’s tangible. I’m proud that the firm has become recognized for helping bridge the gap between potential and performance.
What I want your readers to know:
If you’re reading this and you’re an entrepreneur, a creative professional, a small business leader, or part of a team that’s ready for more: here’s what I want you to know about TND Maximize:
• You don’t have to settle for “making it work.” You can aim for “making it thrive.”
• Having vision is important—but what separates success is having systems in place to support the vision, and discipline to execute.
• We focus on what you already have + what you’re capable of, then build the pathway forward. You don’t have to start from scratch or assume you must become someone else.
• Our services are designed to be collaborative: we partner with you, not just for you. We tailor deliverables to your unique situation—not a one-size-fits-all model.
• If you believe you’re made to maximize—and you’re ready to invest in change, execution and leverage—then TND Maximize stands ready to join you.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was a kid, I was always on the move — playing basketball, football, or baseball with friends, or trying out the latest break-dancing moves in the neighborhood. I had a natural curiosity for just about everything creative. I spent hours sketching out ideas, listening to all genres of music, and finding ways to express myself through rhythm, movement, or design.
My love for music really took off in fifth grade when I started playing the cornet trumpet, a shorter version of the traditional trumpet with a more compact design. That instrument opened a new world for me. Before long, I was named section leader, a role I held for two years, and that experience taught me leadership, teamwork, and how music can bring people together in powerful ways. From that day, my appreciation for music only grew deeper.
By high school, I was juggling a mix of passions — playing basketball, serving as a math tutor, working on the film production crew, and diving into leadership through D.E.C.A. (Distributive Education Clubs of America). Being voted Mr. D.E.C.A. during the ’86–’87 school year was a proud moment. The organization taught me about marketing, management, and entrepreneurship long before I knew those lessons would shape my career.
When I got to college, a good friend and I took that spirit of creativity and leadership a step further. In 1988, we launched our first artist management company, G&O Management, representing Rap and R&B artists in New Orleans. We didn’t have much, but we had passion, drive, and vision. That experience gave me my first real taste of what it meant to blend creativity, business, and leadership — the same blend that would later inspire me to build TND Maximize years later after moving to Dallas.
Looking back, I’ve always been that mix of curiosity, creativity, and structure — someone who loves to dream but also wants to make the dream work. Whether it was music, sports, or business, I’ve always believed in maximizing every opportunity and helping others do the same.
