Rising Stars: Meet Chris Jones of Weatherford Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Jones.

Chris, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At Live Edge Carpentry, I bring craftsmanship and creativity together to make every client’s vision come to life. Strong background in residential window and door installation, my work has grown to include all types of custom carpentry projects — from detailed trim work and home renovations to one-of-a-kind builds that make your space stand out.

What started as a passion for precise, high-quality work has become a full-service carpentry business known for reliability, attention to detail, and genuine pride in craftsmanship. I believe that every project — big or small — deserves the same level of dedication and care.

At Live Edge Carpentry, I don’t just build; I create. Whether it’s a new installation, a custom feature, or a complete transformation, Im here to turn your ideas into reality with skill, integrity, and hard work.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting Live Edge Carpentry wasn’t easy. Turning my skill and passion into a business meant stepping into a whole new world — one that demanded more than just craftsmanship. Being a business owner is a completely different playing field. There are long days, tough lessons, and challenges that test your patience and persistence.

But every bit of it has been worth it. Because at the end of the day, there’s nothing better than doing what I love — creating, building, and bringing people’s ideas to life. Seeing a client’s face light up when their vision becomes real makes all the hard work pay off.

For me, success isn’t just about the finished project — it’s about the trust, satisfaction, and relationships built along the way. At Live Edge Carpentry, my goal is simple: keep doing what I love, keep my clients happy, and keep raising the standard of quality craftsmanship one project at a time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the owner of Live Edge Carpentry, where I specialize in custom carpentry work of all kinds — from detailed trim and finish work to doors, windows, and full custom builds. I started out in the window and door business, working on residential projects, and over time, I expanded into creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces and renovations that truly bring my clients’ ideas to life.

What I’m most proud of is owning my own business and working for myself now, I never thought I would open my own sub contracting company but I have and now I get to do what I love every day: create. There’s something special about taking someone’s vision and turning it into something real, something they can see and touch.

What sets me apart is my dedication to both craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. I take the time to listen, plan carefully, and make sure every detail is done right. I treat every project as if it were my own home — and I think my clients can feel that. My goal is always the same: to deliver high-quality work, honest service, and a finished result that makes people proud of their space.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
For me, my biggest source of inspiration doesn’t come from an app or a podcast — it comes from socializing and meeting new people. I’ve learned that every conversation can teach you something. Talking with other business owners, clients, and even people outside the trade gives me new perspectives and fresh ideas.

Building connections helps me grow not just in my work, but personally too. Hearing other people’s stories — their challenges, successes, and experiences — motivates me to keep improving. I think the best lessons often come from real life and genuine human interaction, and that’s what keeps me grounded and inspired every day.
