Meet Stacy Smith of Corsicana Texas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Smith.

Stacy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For nearly 20 years, I poured my heart into nursing—caring for others, showing up on the front lines, and giving everything I had. When the world changed during COVID, I realized I had been pouring from an empty cup. I loved helping people, but I was burnt out and craving something that would also fill me up.

That’s when I discovered cabi—and what began as a spark of curiosity became something so much bigger. I didn’t leave my purpose—I expanded it and it has completely changed my life. I found a community of women who uplift and encourage one another. Today, I still serve others in healthcare, but I also get to empower women in a new way; by helping women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Fashion became more than clothing for me—it became a way to remind women of their worth, their beauty, and their strength. This journey has been about rediscovering myself, stepping into new possibilities, and walking alongside other women as they do the same.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Working full time as a nurse and still trying to find the time to share cabi and what it’s done for me has been really hard at times. One of the biggest challenges has been figuring out how to share something I love so much without feeling like I’m being pushy or pressuring anyone to host or even take a look.

Putting myself out there in a new way has been scary. I’m used to taking care of others, not necessarily promoting myself or what I do. But I’m learning as I go — learning to trust my heart, share from a genuine place, and give myself grace through the growing process.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a nurse turned fashion stylists. Still rocking both. A heart for helping others is a big part of who I am and what I am known for other than being a wife and mom!
I love helping women feel confident in their own skin. I believe personal style isn’t just about clothes; it’s about how you feel when you walk out the door. I specialize in creating warm, personal styling experiences where women feel seen, supported, and never pressured. These are the things that help set me apart from others, connecting with women and helping them see their individual beauty.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up a was always a caretaker. I loved helping care for my cousins and family. I loved riding horses in the summers with my dad, going shopping with my mom and sister, or just spending time with my grandmother learning how to crochet and going to garage sales. I even spent time with my other grandparents in the pea patch picking peas and going home to shell them. Growing up we moved a few times to different states so I became great pen pals with many of my friends in other states. When I did spend time with my friends we would be at the skating rink, pool, or bowling alley.
