Today we’d like to introduce you to Reagan Browne.
Hi Reagan , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started music as far back as my childhood days of being 3-4 banging on a toy snare drum kit that my parents got me. I officially started playing the guitar around the age of 13 or 14 after seeing bands play on MTV. Had a few bands in high school then ended up going off to college for a few years in the East Coast. Afterwards I moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, and some acting, and that’s when things started to take off for music playing clubs and venues around town like the Whiskey A Go Go, The Viper Room, The Roxy and the Troubadour. 4-5 albums in I’m still going strong.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No not at all. If it’s a smooth road, you probably have family in the business, or you grew up in New York, or L.A having the connections that most don’t. luckily if you love what you do, the struggles aren’t as bad. It’s a struggle to just be heard in music today. Most people won’t even have the faintest idea that you even have a album out, so you have to really promote yourself as much as you can.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m known for being a Singer/Songwriter for writing melodic, catchy music that has hooks that you don’t forget. I’ve also been described as having a big powerful voice that seems to get a lot of recognition. Legendary radio D.J in England Peter Antony said I have “The Million Dollar Voice” who is one of the original Radio Caroline disc jockeys. I’m most proud in the songs I write, and how they resonate with people all over the world. It’s pretty amazing that there’s someone in Italy right now, or England that is listening to what I’m doing, and liking it.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Well most importantly family has always been there for support, as well as most friends. I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with some amazing artist that I admire like Eric Johnson, and Monte Montgomery who are both Texans.
