Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Boydstun.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Untamed Threads started from my lifelong love for wildlife and a desire to make a real impact. I wanted to create something that went beyond just fashion—something that connected people to conservation. Every shirt, every design, and every detail reflects that passion. What began as a small idea to raise awareness has grown into a brand dedicated to giving back to wildlife and the organizations that protect them.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Getting started with Untamed Threads was the easy part — the fire, the passion, the vision to create something meaningful came naturally. But the road to now has been anything but easy. Maintaining momentum, scaling a mission-based brand, and constantly proving that Untamed Threads deserves its place among the best has been the real test.
In a world flooded with clothing lines, it’s a daily challenge to stand out — not just for our patterns or quality, but for the purpose behind every thread. Every shirt represents more than just craftsmanship; it carries a mission to protect wildlife and make conservation wearable.
What keeps me going is knowing that every sale fuels something bigger than fashion — it fuels awareness, impact, and the reminder that purpose and perseverance will always set you apart.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Untamed Threads- each shirt tells a story. The material blend was designed to last—durable stitching, liquid-resistant recycled fabric, and a fit that feels as good as it looks. But beyond the physical shirt, it’s the mission woven into every thread that makes it different. Every purchase fuels wildlife conservation. Every pattern connects people to the animals and ecosystems we’re fighting to protect.
Untamed Threads isn’t just about what you wear—it’s about what you stand for.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success isn’t just about numbers — it’s about impact. It’s waking up every day knowing that what I’m doing matters. It’s seeing someone wear a shirt that represents more than a pattern — it represents purpose. Success is having the courage to start, the grit to keep going when it gets hard, and the humility to know there’s always more to learn. It’s creating something that outlives trends — something that stands for conservation, quality, and authenticity.
