Hi LaPorchia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a professional home baker. I started my business 5 years ago. Baking cakes has always been my passion since I was a little girl. I started out very simple with my business because I really didn’t know the ins & out of owning a business. My rapidly grew over these years. I enjoy seeing my loyal & regulars customers & new customers.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Most days , Yes! Running a business you have to expect some days you won’t get any orders and some days you might get 10-15 or more orders. I am still building my business day by day.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business is located in Oxford, MS. I specialize in custom cakes and treats, wedding , birthdays, anniversary, etc. I do small events & big events treat tables. One of my favorite sales is my Strawberry Crunch Bowls & Heart Cakes. The things that set me apart from others is my freedom creative. All of my regular & loyal customers know I love to do my own freestyle because it really put me in my own zone. My brand services has been in different city/states such as , Nashville, Atlanta, Texas, California, etc.

My kids and family. I’m building a legacy for my kids to have when I leave this world.
