Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean “Oliver” Patrick.

Hi Sean “Oliver”, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up moving around a bit as a kid, and it taught me flexibility and how to adapt to new situations. I’ve always been motivated to do the right thing and help people, which has carried over into how I approach work and relationships today. I started my first business in fourth grade—taking out people’s trash cans the night before garbage pickup and returning them afterward. I billed, collected, and made sure customers were happy. That early experience taught me responsibility, customer care, and that if you put in the work and pay attention to people’s needs, you can make a difference.

After years of selling pest control subscriptions for other companies, I realized I could create something that really puts the customer first, where every decision is about making sure people feel safe, cared for, and heard. That became the heart of HELP! Pest Management, and even as we’ve grown, our focus has stayed the same: making sure every interaction feels personal and thoughtful.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building a company from scratch has its hurdles—staffing, scaling operations, and learning the start-up process were all new. But staying focused on the mission, working with a great team, and tackling problems head-on have gotten us through each challenge. I see setbacks as learning opportunities. We talk through the issue, figure out how to improve, and make adjustments. It’s important to keep perspective and not lose sight of the bigger goal.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
HELP! Pest Management is all about putting the customer first. We provide pest control services and are beginning termite exclusion work to better protect homes. What sets us apart is the care and attention we put into every service—our customers aren’t just numbers, they’re people. We want them to feel like we genuinely understand their needs and are looking out for them, whether it’s a routine service or helping a customer going through a tough time. I’m most proud that our brand is known for integrity, empathy, and making people’s lives easier. That mission guides everything we do, and we want people to know that when they choose HELP!, they’re choosing a company that genuinely cares.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is going to the community pool during the summer. I’d play with my siblings and friends, burn off all my energy, and introduce myself to absolutely anyone and everyone—sometimes strangers who ended up becoming lifelong friends. Those moments taught me early on how much I love connecting with people, a lesson that still guides how I build relationships today.
