Today we’d like to introduce you to MinMin Valenti.
MinMin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our Sun Tai Chi Fitness started year 2007. I was the first one started teaching martial arts ( Qi-Gong Kung Fu and Tai Chi) programs. At 2008, my husband joined me in the teaching team. We are teaching in most of DFW area since then. Our client base range from age 5 to age 90’s. We teach in DFW Recreation Centers, Schools, Church, retirement homes and also some private homes for private lessons. We have practitioners staying with us over 14-18 years and they enjoy our teaching philosophy and overall body fitness routines.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first, we did not have a big class, but we had our practitioners and people like our doctors, retirement homes and fitness centers recommendations for our programs. By word of mouth, we started to build and grow our client base. It is truly a good experience and journey to have our royal practitioners that way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I used to be an Actuary who involved a lot of pension/ life insurance and statistics background for over 20 years. One of my achievement as becoming an Actuary by taking quite a few professional and challenging exams and passing them when I had my full time job. I became an associate of Society Actuary (ASA)
With my actuarial background, I build up some focus and exactness in my Martial Arts teaching which I think it helps to strengthen people’s skills and focus mind.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Our programs need patience and consistence to build up and improve your personal overall health and well-being
